Not a good day today. All I want today is smoke. I haven't obviously but I'd really like to. Hasn't help that all OH wants is a smoke as well. Sat in our usual seat and god it stinks!0

Hi iaasa sorry you had a rough day yesterday. They really do come and go to start with, but do get less and less as time goes by. Hard when both you and your oh are in that very same place, but very impressive that you didn't give in! Just goes to show how determined you both are to quit and go on to a healthier life :j
Sue always says that a good day will likely follow a bad day, so hopefully today will be a corker for you both! Out of curiosity though what were you both doing yesterday? I found in the early stages I had to change my routine and be busy just to distract myself from the inevitable thoughts.
Hope you have a fantastic fag free day today xDF as at 30/12/16

Done a year, Sue :j
Haven't been on this thread for a while as tbh i've mostly forgotten about smoking! Funny how a habit you indulge in around 40 times a day, every day for over 20 years can be ditched and almost forgotten after a year. When you're a smoker you cannot see life ahead of you without your habit but it doesn't have to be that way.
The good news, is that DH is around 6 weeks into quitting cigarettes. Unfortunately he uses an alternative but it's all a step in the right direction and he's no longer banned from the house :rotfl:
Went into a smokers house the other day and recognised the 'sticky' walls and kitchen units. The build up of nicotine, the greyness.
Well done to those of you who have come so far over the last few weeks. It does get easier with time but this is hard to fully acknowledge in the early days. Making the decision is probably the hardest part and all credit to you for making it for yourself. Incidentally I have saved £4459 on cigarettes although this is probably very underestimated as I know cigs have gone up.
Well done you all :beer:Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Today I woke up to the sound of someone being murdered! It was just my niece being put onto the naughty step! And so began day 13!!!
Yesterday was just my normal routine of washing and cleaning etc. I think it was because we were going out, so it made it harder. Today I'm not craving as much but I'm still there a bit. It will get easier!0 -
Well still plodding along. Not thinking about smoking at all now really unless someone brings it up!
Although last night we had our living room window open and my neighbour decided to smoke out the front. OH had close the window pretty sharpish. Made my stomach turn.
But this morning I walked into work and someone must have walked through our lobby who'd recently had a ciggy and it half made me gag, but half made me want to find out who it was so I could sniff them!! LOL
My BIL who lives with us is an infreqent smoke and since we removed the butt bucket from outside the back door, has now taken to smoking out the front as well. Will have to discourage this as there are fag butts everywhere, but I refuse to put the butt bucket back under principle. That and my OH wonders why I keep sniffing BIL and thinks I'm a little strange.....
BIL is a little worried too!! :rotfl:0 -
Day 15 today! That is all! :beer:0
