Wow! You are doing really well. You are sticking with it which means that you CAN and WILL achieve what you wanted to.
Even though you are down in the dumps and not feeling great you are being honest with your feelings, facing them head on and working through them.
Well done, you have shown resolve that I bet you didn't even know you had.
xxSmoke Free since 1 January 20130 -
It's 6 weeks today since I had a cigarette, and it feels like a very long time ago since I smoked - almost like that was a different person. The Champix I took for 4 weeks at the start are fully out of my system now, and I'm starting to feel much better for that thankfully.
I no longer smell of smoke, my house smells fresh and clean as does my car
My weight is still stable, albeit that I have a half stone or so I would like to lose - but that can wait for a few weeks more - its more important to maintain a stable weight at present I think.
My stats are:-
1247 cigs not smoked and £439 saved!
I spoilt myself a little the other day and used the savings for a new laptop which was on offer
Hi tyadog and thank goodness you came on today! Try as I might, I'm blowed if I could think of your name earlier when replying to warez. :undecidedMany congratulations on SIX glorious weeks
without fags in your life!!!!! :T:T:TWhat superb stats above too - AND - being able to treat/reward yourself to a laptop...something to always remind you of your achievements to date!!I'm so chuffed to hear the champix symptoms have gone and you're feeling so much better! :j
You're doing yourself so proud, VERY well done indeed!!!! Thanks for such an inspiring post.

Still smoke free.
So sorry about the head, Part Mouse, but at least stopping the fags is coming good for you - and it's YOU who is taking control of the situation!! Brilliant work!!!! :T
Could you please pop your time and method used on the Title bar of your post each day? Like mine above. Thanks, it helps us all that way.
Stay strong and focused on being fag-free, PM, it will be so much to be thrilled about. :T

H Sue
I wish I was feeling happier but not feeling so good lately.just doing a load of batch cooking.keep thinking about one more cig, but if know there's now such thing.
Xx0 -
You're right, Part Mouse - there is NO such thing! Keep baking and doing any other jobs to take your mind off things, it's the only way, the best way!
Re the happiness, whatever other problems you have in your life, you also have an operation to look ahead to so that will be playing on your mind so you couldn't really expect to feel on top form.
However, look how much faster you'll recover as a result of not having smoked during that time. There's always a brighter side to find - if we look hard enough.
You are doing so very well so at least be happy about that!!

Well, Kiwi, I'm certainly not waiting for you to come and let us know if you succeeded in making it through the night!!VERY manycongratulationson achieving your goal and your dream and being TWO YEARS FAG-FREE, Kiwi!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T:T:TI honestly could never be happier for you than I am right now, you've done amazingly!!! Yes, one or two moments - you wouldn't have been human otherwise, but you set your heart on a goal and never once gave up - that is the measure of success!!!!!!!! :j :T :jA very happy Sue xxx :grinheartThank you m'dear, you know I owe a lot of it to the good people on this site for being there for me during those early days. When you're there in the early throes, struggling to make it through the day and can't see the wood for the trees, looking at the weeks and months ahead as a non-smoking individual are way beyond comprehension. Getting to several weeks, months and then a year were one thing, but now I am at two it's a whole other level.I am ecstatic not only because after the first year, it's like counting a childs age, you can't keep counting in weeks and months, so all there is to match that is another year. Now two years on I can safely say I feel less inclined to ever want to take one of those smelly old fags in my hand, far less to smoke it.The path to freedom certainly is a journey, not a destination and as someone once said here in my early days, you just have to keep putting your foot forward and taking those steps. My sincerest thanks to you all for being there on my journey, I do continue to watch from time to time and hope to be around to see some of the new fledglings celebrate their success.Mortgage
