  • congratulations hannah! You've done so well, you've made it look easy!

Fergie how are you doing? Am hoping no news is good news, but I would like an update!

JD - hope dropping off dd went well and you're not too sad about her not being around right now x

Sue hope that things are picking up for you x

Just popping in to say I have now been a non-smoker for 4 weeks and on Weds it will be a month! Its not been that arduous, however I am aware I don't really know how to deal with stressful situations without smoking. And at the moment I don't have time to go for a run as every minute there are things squeezed into it. After the weekend things will calm down for me and I will go for a super run in my new area :D

    ok better dash x

Oh, so well done, determined, you really are doing all the right things - and slowly getting there!!! :T:T Have you moved?? If possible make plans you know will get you through the stressful times; putting your thoughts to lovely places, playing with something....anything! Also, take note of JD's words as fags won't solve a thing!

I'm not too bad thanks, D, it's still there but not as bad as it was. I see 2 GPs from our practice at the same time so they can both examine me and put their thoughts together. I'm terrified as it's bad enough seeing one! :(

Hi JD, and good to see you safely home. I truly can sympathise with you and your DD as I detested every time she went back, but we soon get accustomed to it - much like stopping the fags I guess!

Must dash....I have to pretty myself up!

Hello, clambering back on the wagon for Stoptoper. Patches brought me out in a hideous rash so am using mini lozenges. Hope everyone is well and happy

Hi 166million! It really is so good to see you back. Folk who return to us help us to know that deep down they are determined to stop, so it's great to welcome you back.

There are many people who will be able to sympathise with the patches and rashes so you did the right thing in ditching them and changing to the lozenges.

All we ask is that when you have a problem or feel things are a bit rough - come on the thread and let us know exactly what the problems is..or how it feels to you and we'll do all we can to help and advise.

ALL the very best, 166, it truly is possible!

OK 166million, that's a natural enough response as, I believe, you're thinking. Up and away now then - good for you! :D

    You can do it.

    Sue x

Morning everyone. If you're part way through stopping - please - don't buckle! If you push on, look through the thread, exercise, sip water - anything that feels good to you, then do it and push past the 'cravings' which only last seconds. YOU too can win!

If you've not yet got the courage to stop then give it a go today! Go on, you've nowt to lose - but soooooo much to gain! Stopping not about giving anything up it's about gaining in so many ways, especially in LIFE and living! All the best everyone!

    Morning all....

Sorry I've not been around lately but I've been so busy at work.

Nothing to report here..........all the same and I'm still so chuffed.

Well done on the house move Determined as I know from experience this can be so stressful!!

Hi all new joiners and welcome. I'm sure if you read through the thread you will see this comment a hundred times but really, 'if I can do it anyone can'.

Some days are really good and others less so but when you get through the harder ones it makes you stronger so give yourself a pat on the back with each craving you batter...:rotfl:

Off back to work now so take care everyone and speak soon xx
  • Morning guys! yay see my stats today! One month :j

My smoker stats last night sai I have not spent £78! :T

Feeling very proud of my efforts today :D

166million keep at it! Push through the barriers, you can do it. Each hurdle feels insurmountable but once you are other side you think "oh actually that wasn't too bad". I think the dizziness is to do with withdrawing from evil nicotine, as this always happens to me but it goes after the 1st couple of days with no nicotine.

awww fergie congrats on going past the month mark honey, was a little worreid by your absence there! Should have known better!!

Hope eveyrone is doing good and for anyone lurking and wondering if you can do it we all say "if I can do it anyone can!"
