  • Morning guys  wow hannah that's come round quick! :T

M2A how are you doing? Did you do ok with your first day on your own?

Me I just feel like - oh I've given up and that's now in the past. I am quite stressed at the moment (vey short tempered and finding hard to relax so feeling quite wired by the evening). Not sue if that's about the smoking, think its much more to do with all the stress in my life at the moment...

Still very happy to be a non-smoker x

  • :wave:Morning,

Quick pop in before work. Hope everyone is good.

7 days 11 hours and 26 mins here:j Feeling good xx

Hannah you are doing so well congratulations on heading towards your second week :T

Determined I feel like I have abandoned my wake-up and shower duties lately so hope you are coping without me or you should stink by now.........lol

I decided to go back to page 15 and read my starting journey on this thread. It has really help me re-kindle some of my excitement and reminded me not to get complacent about my journey ahead. So in a good place and ultra-motivated again :)

I noticed when reading that we have lost a few along the way so if you are still lurking come and join us and you will be counting in weeks too soon.

Hope you are well Sue and Hi to everyone else.

Good luck for today fellow freedom-fighters and onwards and upwards  xxxx

Wow that's impressive that you can give up while ole smokey joe there continues!!! That must be a bit hard for you esp when things are stressful for you. Power to you woman, just get on here and I'll give you the moral support you need when you need it!

the only thing I can say with any certainty (and my little blip of a week showed me - now I have been a non-smoker longer than my short relapse I feel its now a blip :rotfl:) is smoking doesn't take away the stress, doesn't taste good, has no stress relieving properties. Basically it gives us ABSOLUTELY no benefits  And apallingly as I hadn't adjusted to being a smoker again and therefore wasn't blind to all of the nasty stuff I was aware my breath smelled faggy  :o:o:o:o

anyway opps realised I should actually be working rather than waxing lyrical about my now evangelical opposition to smoking! :p

Oh and FYI while I did try to abdicate all responsibility of getting out of bed and cleaning myself, as you have refused to enable my bad behaviour I have been doing it myself. Therefore no I do not stink!! :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone,

Six months of being a non smoker. :j:j:j

I've saved a whopping £1300. Maybe someone clever could come along and come up with some stats of the money we've collectively saved!

It's great to see so many others stopping smoking and supporting each other. Well done everyone.

Looking forward to the one year mile stone!
  • aw congrats Motherofthekid :T that's brilliant you must be so proud of yourself. How do you feel? Had any wobbles recently? I say this as I gave up for 6 months and then started again  am mentally prepared this time. Was just thinking I might write a little note to myself and put it in my purse to remind myself how good it feels to smoke and what a waste of time, resources and life it is!

Look forward to your 1 year post :j
