Perhaps it would be an idea to soak her dry food for now if she's struggling to drink with the plastic collar on anyway - that way she gets moisture from her food.0

That is what I hope to do with the chicken stock.... And when I take her out of the cage for a walk, I take the plastic collar off and she has a drink then. But I really hope the bowls I ordered arrive (hanging ones, the ones you screw to the side of the cage from inside) and just got a "delivery failure" note in the post that a packed was here for me yesterday but they could not get in (intercom entry system).
Jesussssssss, they could have rung ANY number here and ANY of my neighbours would have taken it in for me
Now not gonna get it till at least Wednesday0 -
Ufff she has eaten and quite a lot, her normal food mixed with tiney bit of cooked chicken and chicken stock so....time for a nap now, I am shattered...0

Got Zara out of the cage, she ate the rest of what was in her bowl, drunk quite a bit, we went out and massive success - both pee and poo no problem wohoooooo
Came back, she had more to drink.. gave her the tablets and off she went back into the cage....
We will be fine..0 -

I've just read the whole thread, so pleased you have Zara home and you are managing.
I watched the 'Bionic Vet' series in awe and wonder. The man is a genius, and totally driven - I'm really impressed he came out himself to check your transport home was suitable. To be honest, I wish he had done MY hip replacement I think .
Anyway, good luck to you and Zara, have a good Jubilee weekend, you really have something to celebrate !!I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
Fantastic GR, so glad all is working out for you!0
