Off for the last pee - will it EVER stop raining?

Rain=slippery surface = risk of slipping and injuring the hip... sigh....

    Oh bless

Its hard work cage resting a dog, but I reckon between you and kitties you've got it cracked :j:j

Oh kitties love the cage, especially Fred.. he loves the vet bed and each time I leave it open he is in like a shot rolling on it....

Zara likes the crate too, when George (my ginger boy) had an operation and had to be crated - each time I tok him out she was diving in... and it was much smaller crate, shou would curl up inside on a cat bed and be out and sleeping in 2 sec flat :)

But of course it is not the same as having to be in a crate for 6 weeks...

Poor Zara takes a ball with her when we go out for a pee/poo... her rubber, tennis size ball.. she makes plans to play fetch.. poor thing. I let her carry the ball out and back as she really loves the balls

Almost a week gone, 5 more to go.. she may need to be in a crate for longer as when I am at woek she tends to jump on the sofa etc and won't be allowed to do that for a long while yet but.. I was worried it will be much worse (the stairs) - early days but we do manage...

Zara may well choose herself not to get on your sofa after the 6 weeks is up

my old girl had to be cage rested after rupturing her cruciate ligament, she never got on the sofa again .. her choice

I therefore spent most of my time sat on the floor snuggling instead
