    well, to make up for being stabbed in the back the other week, today I have been sent and really generous amazon voucher from someone I know through this site - I cant quite believe it and I am so humbled and delighted. this is on the back of some terrible news I had this morning so has really helped to lift my spirits.

    i have just gave my brother my upright vacuum as i have got a cylinder now and theirs broke down, he's made up, actually vacuumed the whole house while I was there lol

    I haven't posted for a while, but thinking back I have been given quite a lot lately. My neighbour, over the past few weeks, has given us courgettes, a cabbage, runner beans. A fellow student has given us French beans and squashes. And best of all my DH gave me a long weekend off last weekend to go away with my girlfriends! I feel very lucky.
    If you're not hungry, food isn't the answer!

    Today a kind older gentleman gave me 2 cacti - I had bought 3 for a donation at a Macmillan coffee am and he gave me 2 more - he had grown them himself and they are lovely and healthy. The best thing he gave me was advice and the benefit of his experience growing them :)

    Today dh came home with 7 big cobs leftover from bacon Friday ( they make customers bacon cobs on a Friday for free), he was more than happy to give them a new home in our fridge lol
