  • I took my Grandad his weekly bakes and came back with a joint of silverside :D "Saw this in the butchers and thought it'd come in handy for you" says my Grandad. Love him and my Grandma millions, i am a lucky, lucky girl at 27 to still have all 4 of my grandparents

Took my other grandparents a cake and came back with a lovely knitted cardi for DD2, i love hand knitted stuff :)

My mam gave me a loaf of bread and half a dozen teacakes from her freezer as she needed to make room.

I gave my parking ticket to a lady in town, we'd been much quicker than i thought at the dentist so there was plenty of time left on it :)

    K xx
  • On a visit to another office today, I was given a lovely plant in a large pot as the offices are being refurbished and pot plants are banned as they won't fit in with the new look. . . there loss is my gain :)

Our nice neighbour (as opposed to our not-so-nice neighbour ;)) gave me a bunch of flowers and some grapes from his greenhouse, in return I gave him some apples from our tree.

I hope none of my fellow hoarders are reading!

Today my mother visited me and brought me 6 biggish bowls, 6 small ones, very pretty and i don't have many bowls. She also brought a beautiful pair of socks, silk and wool, which are just wonderful. And a beautiful house magazine, a pink garden jasmine and a baby yew. :). What a lucky woman I am today!

I gave her a bottle of lovely bath stuff (she has just had a new bath put in her new house) and lunch...oh, she bought me some milk on the way over too.
  • I was given a box of porridge oats and two boxes of individual portions of cereal as they where clearing a cupboard at work and knew I would make the most use as nothing goes to waste in my house

I gave away 3 jars of homemade jam recently :)

you all get such wonderful things- perhaps I should pay it forward more to expect karma to repay me??
Love reading the oldstyle board...always something to learn!
  • A bag of leeks and potatoes, a hen and a bee hive. No bees yet, waiting for spring.
  • A recorder for my little boy from a very kind man on freegle. It was brand new - he got it when he did a music course and didn't play it. One very delighted little lad

A friend has just moved into a first floor flat so gave me her black wrought iron three tier plant shelf, in exchange for listening to her for 4 hours. She's easy to listen to and the plant shelf is lovely, so a double bonus :)
