About 2 kilos of tomatoes, a bit past their best, by my neighbour 'for the chickens'. Hmm, I washed them, picked them over, removed the grotty ones and cut off the soft bits for the chickens, and the rest are roasting in the oven with garlic and olive oil for sauce :D
  • A gluten-free pizza, gluten-free pastry, a g/free steak pie, g/free fish fingers & g/free spagetti. Step son has broken up with his girlfriend so gave them to me for my son!

Today I gave my mum a pair of silicone kitchen tongs (I didn't get on with them so bought myself a better pair last month) and she gave me half a dozen packets of Twiglets, as apparently my dad doesn't like them/has gone off them (without telling her)!

Hey everyone, I'd love to see this thread revived, so... yesterday my mother in law gave me a hair care system (for strengthening & conditioning your hair) and my friend gave me 3 huge apples and some satsumas as otherwise she would have thrown them out (as she's moving out of her house for renovations).

I gave a bottle of white spirit (for cleaning the tools) at my print class. :)

I have just found this thread & I think it's really sweet and restores your faith in human nature:)
I gave my mum an almost new thick mattress topper I had in the loft and a new summer quilt as we bought a bigger one.
My husband made my Dad a lift for his chair as he had just had a new hip.
She gave me a tray of iced custard tart, which she has'nt made for about 20 years and it was fab!

I gave a lady in tesco a voucher for £5 off a £40 shop while she was at the checkout with a big shop!

My mum gave us (bought us) a brand new cooker (!!!) and loads of baby bits for our new arrival next month! She also gave us 3 bottles of champers and some tea bags, lol.

Someone my OH works with sent him home with a box of muffins last week, and after finding out that I was pregnant he decided that the store's own muffins weren't good enough for me and proceeded to buy me an absolutely gorgeous gourmet muffin! Considering I've never met the guy I thought it was a lovely gesture!!

We were also given a washing machine this month, gosh I didn't realise how much we've been given until I started listing it, I could keep going!
