I've lost some weight & been looking for a nice maxi dress - today my mum gave me a gorgeous dress - she said I'd convinced her to buy it ages ago, but it was too long & big for her so it sat in her wardrobe for yonks, & its more my style than hers - looks fab on me - though I honestly don't remember convincing her to buy it!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

I gave my friend a jar of homemade courgette soup yesterday, she doesn't eat proper meals and seems to survive on picnic food(she's not ill just can't be bothered cooking) so I thought I'd give her something healthy and homemade.September Grocery Challenge £0/£2250

After driving with my daughter for an hour in the blazing sun, we stopped off at Aldi to get some veg and on the way out we saw a woman eating a Cornetto oustide the shop.
Little un pipes up 'That looks nice, doesn't it mummy?', the nice lady turns around and gives us an icecream each! I could've kissed her! ::T0 -

I love reading this thread, it's so lovely to read nice things people do for each other.
We've just decorated two bedrooms so the boys have each have their own instead of sharing. Yesterday my MIL gave us a chest of drawers she was going to get rid of to use until we get sorted with proper furniture for the rooms.
We have given my SIL a table and chairs & desk and chair for her new flat as we no longer needed them.
Also gave MIL 4 pts of milk from the tesco 3 for £3 offer as we were buying two anyway.
They help us a lot with childcare and other things so I'm happy we could do something to help them for a change.0 -
I was recently given a very expensive sewing machine by my MIL who has bought a new one
I recently gave my friend and her kids some baking beans (she'd been looking for some for a while), a monsters university umbrella (her son's cars one broke) and a pair of crocs for her daughter because she hates wearing shoes (we think she may have flat feet and her shoes rub her)“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A.
