Hello :hello: Brizzle & Robin
Yes, OH was really attentive and made me realise I was valued. It's all wearing a bit thin with him now though and I can tell my being around constantly is getting to him. Not much I can or want to do about that mind you.
I drove today for the first time, needs must. I didn't enjoy it, it was painful and I won't be repeating it for at least a week if not more. I am enjoying relaxing at home and feel no need to venture very far at all.
We had a lovely couple of hours with DGD2 yesterday, she really is a delight to be around. She has such a sunny disposition. When asked what she wanted to do, she announced "go for coffee, we haven't been for ages" funny little girl, she loves people watching whilst eating her packed lunch and pinching a bit of our cakes.
I bought her a £3 doll from Asd^ to say how proud I was of the no nappies situation. She beamed like the brightest sun at my words. OH asked where she wees now, if not in a nappy, 'a jug perhaps?' To which she replied, 'don't be silly my bottom wouldn't fit' :rotfl:
Little man wasn't very happy yesterday as he'd fallen off the bottom step at home and bumped his head. He's ok though.
Picked DGD1 up from school and managed a lovely hug and kiss session before going home to collapse on the sofa.
OH had his car mot'd yesterday and considering its 16 years old we were amazed that the only cost incurred was the MOT charge itself. Absolutely nothing else needed at all. OH had budgeted £300 and thought it may be more so was really happy when it came to so little.
I completed my redundancy paperwork today so am one step closer to freedom.
No predator news at the moment. My budget is holding up, just, but I will be mightily glad when pay day rolls around.

Good news on redundancy but make sure you rest more before driving. I love hearing your stories about the grandchildren - they really seem to really light up your life.

Thanks all, I have to admit not going to work, grouped with feeling better whilst being under no pressure to do anything and visits from little people has me feeling happy.
My office has now officially shut. A sad day in one way but great in another as otherwise I never would have made this momentous decision.
Last night I began planning f&f offers, I'm going to start out low in the hope I can shave a fair bit off and increase where necessary. I won't get my payout until mid Sept anyway so I have a while to get it all in place. So that is plan of action for the next week.
I went out with work mates this weekend, which was lovely but I was out too long and drank too much so was in a fair bit of pain as a result. Luckily I was able to take my time recovering so am ok now.
OH has hurt his back in work and had to come home early yesterday. He is clearly in a lot of pain. I'm trying to persuade him to go to his GP tomorrow. I've made tea for the last 2 days, which considering how much he loves to control the kitchen just shows how much he's suffering. He has also taken tonight and probably tomorrow night off work which is totally unheard of.
It's DGD2s birthday on Wed and we were hoping to spend Thurs with both DGDs but it looks unlikely now. We will just have to cross fingers that OHs back gets better soon, for more reasons than one.
I hope you have all had a good bank holiday weekend

Thanks DF(w)
OH must be feeling rough as he actually agreed to go to GP today. He's twisted the muscles in his back and has been given very strong pain killers to take in addition to the ones I'm giving him. He's also agreed to stay off work all week, totally unheard of.
DGC called over with their parents to collect DGD2s cards and for her to open her presents. We bought lots of small bits plus a 3 wheel wide based scooter, that she loves. She was clearly delighted with it. On opening it she announced 'yay, I can scoot now' and spent an hour going back and forth in the living room. She is such an easy child to please and an hour in her company never fails to make me smile.
DGD1 sat by my side snuggled into me for cuddles. She only moved when DGD2 opened a box of l3go and DGD1 went to make something for her.
DGS spent the time on the floor beating up the baby doll and eating large bits of l3go, with his cute baby happy face.
OH & I have collapsed on the sofas now they have gone though

Hello :hello: Lucky
Where has the last week gone.
OH has driven me mad, snapping and snarling in his usual grumpy way. I've tried very hard to be patient as I knew he was unwell and in pain. After all he looked after me so well. He is the world's worst patient, stubborn, snappy, refusing to ask for help and over doing things and then taking it out on me when he's suffering. Thankfully he is much better now and is going back to work next week.
Today I've had 5ky out to repair the signal, what lovely characters they were and they've voluntarily sorted out my multi room signal for me too. I'm so pleased about that. Only cost £15 call out too so definitely worth it.
I've arranged for my work broadband to be switched off, phone line to follow once the one is done.
We've got a leak in the living room ceiling so I called our house insurance but the plumbing side is not covered, only any damage done from the leak and any caused to repair it. Luckily my bank account gives me home emergency cover so the plumbing work is covered on that. Dynar0d due out for that and building surveyor due out tomorrow for damage assessment.
So all in all a busy morning. The weather is so bad that I was staying in anyway and I'm not feeling up to doing much more than admin today.
Yesterday we went for a 3 mile walk as the weather was nice.
Tomorrow we are picking up DGD2 for a couple of hours and then on Friday we are away for a cheap hotel break and free meal courtesy of Mr T clubc^rd deal vouchers.
M!nt accepted my financial statement sent in respect of Natw3st account so both have renewed the agreement for a year. Mr T have yet to respond. I've not yet written re the f&f as I don't get paid out until mid Sept so I will do it closer to the time.
