Yoo-hoo! Gosh, it's quiet in here..
Granny, are you ok?0 -
Good morning all, hope everything is ok in your lives.
I'm ok, if not a little sore and extremely tired at the moment.
OH is being an absolute gem and looking after me very well. Other than the odd trip out with him when he's not working and 1 visit from DS and family, I haven't been anywhere or done anything.
DS stayed away for the 1st week as DGC went done with various bugs which he didn't want passed to me. DM has rung a few times to see how I am and suggested I go and stay with her for a bit, which I will when I feel up to travelling the 160 miles.
I cannot drive for 6 weeks which is ok ATM as I'm too tired to think about it anyway. Needless to say this month has been nsd after nsd.
Still no news on the redundancy front but apparently things are so awful in work 2 other work mates have also decided to leave. I suspect the notices will be out this week if not early next.
Spoke to HIM on Tues and initially he questioned why I said I wasn't coming back to work just because I couldn't drive. When I said I can't drive because I can't sit up properly, he laughed and said ok perhaps you need to be off until you can then. I'm hoping my GP will keep signing me off until my official leaving date as I really don't want to go back
No need to worry about that for now anyway as I have a paper for 4 weeks and then a GP appointment to request another. My follow up appointment with consultant is mid July so I should have no problem convincing my GP to sign me off until then at least
Have a good weekend all, speak soon

Hi Granny, :hello:
Relieved to hear you're being very well looked after, so able to recuperate without needing to rush back to the [hated?] place of employment - HE really does sound a nightmare, enough to send any sane person diving back under the covers of their sick-bed!0 -

I'm glad you're on the mend granny, it's been somehow wrong not seeing you around and about. It's good to see you taking it easy and recovering at a natural pace.
