You have indeed been missed so please keep posting.. :grouphug:
Heartily glad to hear op is "on"; stay away from snotty kids / folk coughing out germs in the interim..0 -
Granny Ive not been posting much I'm sorry.
Glad you finally have a date for your op. I have just skim read the last few posts on here, and as you know my diary is mainly a load of rambling on about day to day things than debt busting, but hey ho. We love reading your stories, and miss you when you are not about.
Sending lots of hugs your way xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I'm glad your op is still on and very soon
I've just booked a speed awareness course, luckily the last one I did was just over 5 years ago so I was allowed to do it againMine was £95 though
but at least I won't have to take the points I suppose.
I hope the redundancy package is good and you can leave the job, I think a new era is looming for youxx

Thanks for the words of encouragement my dear friends.
Was supposed to have DGD1 this evening but DS has just rung to say she has stayed home from school today as she was feeling unwell. DS thinks she is fine, DDIL was concerned because of my op. (funny how different men think to women). DDIL is very poorly herself so I've told him that if anyone in the house is unwell, I'm going to have to cancel just in case. Cannot afford to have op postponed because of coughs/colds. Disappointed though as was looking forward to spending some quality time with her.
Further developements in work mean redundancy is now almost definite. The new policies being put in place are just beyond a joke and I just don't like the job enough to put up with it all. As DF(w) says a new era is looming and I'm quite excited about it as well as a little apprehensive.
Tried to claim with RM for damaged parcel and need to jump through hoops to get compensation. Have asked moonpig for some postal details to aid me but may have to go back to the sorting office to make a claim if they don't provide it.
I'm scrabbling around trying to find enough work to justify my being here for the next 2 days but think I'm going to finish at lunch time tomorrow instead. I've no intention of asking HIM for work to do
looking forward to couple of days of relaxing before op.
Speak soon all.

Thanks Mrs F
I've spent the last couple of days trying to fight this cold, in the hope that it doesn't mess things up over the next couple of days. Yesterday I gave in and bought 1st d3fence and fingers crossed it seems to have done the trick.
I finished work at lunch time on Friday having told HIM I couldn't concentrate on anything, had built up lieu time and was feeling a little rough. HE seemed to accept that HE didn't really have much say. I went to lunch with 2 friends and then went home to enjoy the afternoon and evening of a peaceful house.
OH worked all day Sat and I spent it fighting my cold germs. Yesterday, I had DGDs for a few hours as not sure when I'll be able to have them again for a while. OH does so little with them when they come over I'm possibly going to have to do with short visits when DS has time.
Today, after spending the morning relaxing, packing my hospital bag and defuzzing etc, I decided to go out for a couple of hours window shopping. I felt irritated with OH, though why I'm not sure and realised it may be the last time I can drive for a while.
Rang DM and chatted for a while. I know she's worried about me.
OH is still irritating me, perhaps because he's acting as though something is quite funny about hospital. Sorry, I'm being a grumpy mare as I just can't see the funny side really.
I have to ring in the morning and then go in for 2pm if the bed is free. Just a couple more hurdles to go. I'm not nervous really, more anxious that something will happen to prevent it happening. I'm sure I'll be nervous once I'm there, I just need to get there first.
Hope all is well with any readers. I'll be in touch as soon as I can
It's my 17 wedding anniversary tomorrow
