Good morning
Redundancy definitely sounds like the best plan and the chance to follow your dreams. Best of luck in whatever you decide

Thanks Mrs Happy, Brizzle and BB, still a while before I need to make my mind up but it's something that fills a lot of my thoughts.
It would be so great to be able to get out of this financial situation and away from such a stressful job tbh. I have lots of transferable skills and despite my age am confident something would come up. I don't care what right now tbh, I've had 2 careers and proved myself, a job would suit me fine hopefully a part time one at that.
If I could reduce my debt, I'd need less money each month and could spend some time doing things I enjoy, instead of spending my weekends recovering from a stressful week.
This week has been pretty full on but I've achieved a lot as well. I've only got 1 day in the office and 2 half days at home to go before we go off on hols for my birthday. We're having the DGDs on Sun, I've booked a hair appointment on Mon and pamper session at spa on Tues pm. Wed I'm going for lunch with a friend and we leave for hols Thurs lunch time.
OH has snapped out of his mood, although he's not been very well today and HE hasn't irritated me too much.
Hope all have a good weekend
Still no news from the hospital and I forgot to ring them today for an update. Will do it on Monday

Sorry to hear about the UTI
. Hope it clears quickly for you.
Great news that it's almost holiday/birthday time though!
Oh, and I get what you are saying about being happy with a job not a career. Bank manager to pizza maker would have been a step too far for some, but I love the fact that I can leave it all behind at the door at home time and not even think about it until I'm due in for the next shift. I remember the days of working at home until 3am, or worse, getting up at 3am to do some work because I couldn't sleep for the load that was on my mind! So pleased those days are over! Hi Granny, :hello:
Glad to see you're on your countdown to holidays; do hope you're enjoying the anticipation now, looking forward to having a fantastic break (and birthday!).
Great shame you've had to resort to another course of anti.bs this week, but let's hope they guarantee a problem-free time while you're away.
Redundancy / early retirement [from your current career] sounds like a great idea, so long as the pay-off gets rid of your predators once and for all!
I was so pleased to read that your sometimes grumpy DH is being supportive about this - could be the start of a new, much more satisfying phase of your lives together (- I hope! :grouphug:).0 -
Thanks all
UTI cleared up with the help of cranberry juice and water, no antibiotics needed after all. Was a relief as they leave me feeling so low and suffering from other problems.
Weekend went by far too quickly but work week nearly over too, just a day and a half to get through.
Had my hair done, it's lovely, finally got the colour sorted out after months of self colouring, so nice to be pampered now and then.
Also enjoyed having my nails, hands and feet done, so they are all pretty for hols. Tried false lashes for the first time ever but don't think they are going to last. Considering going back to the salon tomorrow pm as surely they should last days not hours!
Rang the hospital today and still on track for 3 weeks time. Will receive official confirmation at beginning of April. Need to see nurse consultant before op to be shown how to self medicate post op. Only problem her next available appointment is a week after op! Where on earth have they been to sort this out, they've had 6 months to arrange that consult, I'm not amused and made sure they were aware that they need to sort this out ASAP.
Got more details today about courses I plan doing if go for redundancy, pretty eager to get figures so can decide on future.
Working in office tomorrow but being treated to lunch by mates and plan on finishing early. Haven't got much work to do as I've done more than anticipated and now have time to clear my in tray before hols and op.
DS actually gave me cards, yes you read that right plural cards, and a gift for my birthday. I don't care if it's a Mars bar in a gift bag, I'm made up that he remembered and didn't repeat the offence of last year. DGDs told me I have to ring them on Saturday so they can sing to me and DGD2 told me they are planning on buying me candles for my cake - cutey pie that she is. So my birthday week is already proving to be a greater success than last year
Hope all is well

So glad to reach last day in work before hols and considering asking for day off instead of just afternoon. I've done something to my back and can hardly move, not great when I've got a 200 mile car journey, followed by 4 hour flight in the next 36hrs.
Eye lashes didn't last and couldn't be bothered to go back to get them redone. May ring salon in the morning and see what they say.
Couple of last minute bits to do before leave around mid afternoon, OH working until 1ish. I'm packed, he isn't as usual.
Nice lunch yesterday and card, gift and balloon from friends. Pity it'll be deflated by time get home. Haven't opened gift yet, given it to OH to hold for me until Sat.
May not get time to post tomorrow but taking tablet with me on hols so will check in at some point
