delurking again - unexplained back pain to me = stress. I have a whisky here that will sort it & hope you will join me (mines a double). I use my back as a barometer for tasks that I have to do. I visit mum 4 days a week (care home) & if I think about that before I get up then I get up to back ache. I guess you can tell that today was not one of her better days as I came back with back ache. I have found a semi cure for it (other than the whisky which is not a good long term plan). I have a wii & play things like bursting balloons with my posterior, so I am off to hit balls that add up to ten. Have a lovely birthday and holiday! sorry couldn't find one with a whisky glass instead of beer.

    Thanks all

Holiday and birthday was lovely, I was thoroughly spoilt by both OH and the resort

Arrived home on Friday to present from DD on the doorstep, soaking wet, looked like it had been there all week. Complaint made to RM

Had cards from DS for Mothers Day with visit from little people which was nice and totally unexpected

Operation planned for next Thursday, finish work on Fri, probably for ever as redundancy is definitely sounding more appealing and complications of working at new office are more bothersome

Today had an appointment for minor procedure at Day surgery unit. Feeling sore and emotional but happy all going ahead. Last step is ring on Wed to check they have a bed for me (fingers, toes etc crossed)

Booked in for facial and manicure/pedicure tomorrow pm Quite looking forward to that

Looked into courses for Sept or Jan, depending on health by then.

Booked speed awareness course, £85, only to now be told error in system shows last offence and subsequent course 2 weeks shy of 3 years and therefore I can't do the course so will have £100 fine and points instead. Was a bit worried may not be well enough to do course anyway, so may be for the best

Decided I need to focus on health rather than debt but will be popping in now and then and thinking of you all

Oh Granny how you have been missed! Great to hear you had a lovely holiday and birthday.

Please update us often on how you are, whether or not there's any debt-busting-talk.

I'm currently "twizzying". A family word that means turning unproductively in circles. I have started to: clean the freezer (a little task), tidy spices cupboard (a big task), sort out plastic boxes (a tedious task), find mattress protectors (an easy task). I am supposed to be wrapping and boxing up glasses, and sorting out what kitchen-ware to pack and what needs to be on hand.

    Hugs
    Satchmo xx
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • So pleased to hear everything sounding so positive (soggy parcels aside). Please stick around, Lord knows my diary is little to do with debt busting, so yours doesn't need to be either . Xx

  • Granny pleased to hear you've had a lovely birthday and holiday. I still remember the nightmare that was your birthday last year.

Concentrating on your health should definitely be a priority. If you haven't got your health it doesn't matter how much or how little money you have. I have everything crossed that your op goes ahead.
