  • Hi Granny,

Just catching up with the goings on. Congratulations to your DD on getting her residency. As an immigrant myself I know all too well the stress of getting visas. :j

A 2 hour commute for your job when it changes sounds horrendous. It's not something I would even consider but redundancy is a huge step. Not just financially but emotionally too but I'm sure you'll take everything in to consideration when making your decision.

Thanks BOF, it's one of my frequent thoughts at the moment, along with hoping that my hospital date comes through soon.

Had a lovely day with DGD2 today after a few cuddles with little man. Sadly DDIL was in one of her moods so I didn't see them for long. DGD2 and I went out for a day in the sun, went to the park and then for a coffee, (taking her packed lunch with us) and finally for a wander around the shops. She's such an easy little soul to please, a few trips up the escalator, in the lift playing wibble wobble as the floor moves and walking up inclines, (that she calls hills) or up and down steps, all conducted with a smile on her face, a hello for every baba she passes, even those older than her get greeted with an aw and a dolly in her arms. She seems to brighten everyone's day.

We arrived home and she ran to meet OH, only to be greeted by Mr Grumpy PMT, (pathetic moody tw^t), who just failed to summon up the energy even to be civil. I just ignored him and after collecting DGD1 from school played with my girls, made their tea and ours, (he didn't even utter a thanks for that) and then drove them home.

I have to say I felt like slapping him with the frying pan rather than cooking his tea with it but resisted the urge and have spent the evening upstairs reading.

Off to bed shortly as I'm working tomorrow but hoping for a quiet day as think HE is in the other office. Not sure if I actually see HIM this week as I'm in the other office on Thursday and at home wed and Fri. Only 3more early starts before our week off and then hopefully only a week in work after before operation, (fingers crossed)

  • Sorry to hear you have your own PMT, maybe we should lock them in a room together?! Would be less messy than whacking them with frying pans!!

Glad you had a good day with the little people and you managed to get that cupcake the other day.

Redundancy sounds just the ticket Xx

Thanks Lucky, hope you've had a better day today. My PMT continues to act the same, grunting at me when I arrived home from work. Redundancy is sounding more appealing by the day, I can bugg3r off to Oz for a break away from both HIM and PMT, I wouldn't know myself without them both to stress me out.

HE was in our other office today but still managed to wind me up. I'm quite glad to get home, even if I do spend the evening avoiding PMT

  • My PMT has gone away for two weeks :p lucky me haha. He still manages to send messages when in a bad mood though lol! Thankfully I can just ignore those and they do go away ;)

I hope your redundancy package is excellent! Would it mean you can pay off some of the debts with some F&F offers? Hope it's everything you are hoping it is xxx

Yes lucky you indeed DF(w), although if my PMT went away for 2 weeks he might come home to find I'd sold the house and bugg3red off to Oz.

Missrlr, yes indeedy, redundancy should pay out enough to enable me to make reduced offers of resettlement to predators and reduce the debt mountain somewhat. It would also provide me with the chance to follow a dream I had before DD arrived on the scene, thereby thwarting my life plan. (Not that I'd be without her now mind you)

N2O, how lovely to hear from you, I hope life is treating you well my dear friend. We muddle along ok most of the time, it's just every now and then I feel the urge to murd3r the PMT. He hasn't been so bad this evening and actually discussed redundancy with me and seemed to be very supportive.

Working from home tomorrow and hoping for a quiet day. Still no news from the hospital, but no reason to think anything has changed, so hopefully it's all still going ahead in April.

Wowza Granny, lots going on in your life. Redundancy sounds very appealing if a little scary!

Hi granny....I think you should follow your instincts and not make life harder..if the redundancy is a possible and gives you some breathing space, I'd give it a lot of thought.

Glad you're having a nice time with the DGC :D
