I slept well last night and had a lie in as HE is off until Monday and I was working from home so a nice quiet easy morning.

This afternoon I had my girls, which was lovely and I had lots of cuddles and baby kisses from little man.

Bl00dy car cost me £90 today though when I had to call out the breakdown service because it wouldn't start. One new battery later. I've asked OH to go to our local garage to get a price comparison though as they offer a price promise. He didn't seem very keen on doing it but after I said I'd do it myself he acted surprised and said he was prepared to do it.

It's my DD2 & DD3 birthday and anniversary of DD2s death on Saturday and OH has arranged to work a double shift. Although they were not his children, he is usually considerate of my feelings and understands that the day is hard. I'm upset that he agreed to work, although he asked me this evening if I minded. I wouldn't dream of telling him not to work but wish he'd put my feelings first. I considered going to DM but she doesn't understand that I still need to reflect and remember, despite her losing a little boy at a very young age.

The time of year, the situation with my health, the cancelled operation, the closure of my office and job relocation, along with trying to get out of debt is pulling me down at the moment. I wish I could just run away from it all.

Oh well, off to bed now as working in the office tomorrow

Oh Granny, big hugs for you. You are always so loving and supportive of everyone else and it's so unfair that you should be feeling so alone and feeling overwhelmed. Do you have a special place you can go to, to reflect? Could you have an extra cuddle fest with DGD/DGSs?
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
