Feeling a little grumpy right now as I should be packed and ready to go into hospital in the morning. I know it will pass as will the hopefully 52 days until proposed date. (Not that I'm wishing my life away or anything)

Had a nice day today with my girls, plus a couple of cuddles with little man, although DGD2 was a bit grumpy. As I was still feeling a bit weird I asked OH to take them home but he refused. To be fair I don't think he realised how I was feeling which was my fault but he should have taken notice when I asked him as I very rarely do so.

I had to take them home before I planned to before I got too tired but again it was down to me to bring it to OHs attention really. I think he has been so attentive this week it's taken its toll on him.

Tomorrow I'm planning a quiet day on my own, OH is working so plenty of time to relax. Although I'm going to work on Tuesday it won't be for long and then I'm working from home until Friday.

I've decided if the money from the gold isn't needed for my MOT I'm going to write to one of my predators to offer them a reduced settlement. Even if it is needed I'm going to pay it back into a pot to do this. I owe them just under £1.2k so reckon they may accept £300, instead of the £12pm they are getting now. This would be such a boost to my debt reduction plans and could knock 3 months off my debt free date, it's got to at least be worth a try. The way I see it I was going to have to find the money for my MOT anyway so should be using this money for something positive.

Had a quiet day today as I was still feeling a bit ropey. I stayed out of OHs way this morning as he so clearly didn't feel like communicating. He went to work at lunch time so I had a lovely peaceful afternoon knitting. I made myself a chicken curry for tea today and tomorrow, (OH is working again), so won't have to fuss with food after work.

Not sure how I'm going to manage in work tomorrow but I'm only really going in for the meeting and to see HIM, meaning that I can work from home Wed & Thurs so hopefully won't be too taxing.

Not looking forward to it but as I said I can't afford to take the time off now and risk ending up on half pay post op or worse still having to go back before I'm fully recovered. At least this way work can see I'm trying, they know I'm not well so hopefully will keep the pressure off to avoid my having to go off sooner than necessary.

Still no news from Mr T or official notification of NHS op, (assuming will get a month's notice). Have booked car in for its MOT and service, fingers crossed it doesn't need much doing, (although I think I'll need new brakes)

Considering I haven't done anything today I'm pretty tired so I'm hoping I get a good night's sleep.

Went into work, arriving late for the meeting - HIS fault, he told me an hour later. Meeting wasn't even about what I thought and tbh was a bit of a waste of my time.

Big boss told me to go home straight after it, telling me the place wouldn't fall down without me!! Tried to explain that I'm well enough to work as long as I take it easy and the pressure isn't piled on my head. In the end spoke to HIM and agreed I'd work from home this afternoon and for the next 2 days and then play it by ear about Friday. Important meeting next Wed which I'd like to attend but after that nothing that really needs my input.

The longer I can manage in work the more time I'll be able to take off post op so I'm certainly not going to rush to go off but will do so if I feel it's affecting my health.

  • Granny, only just catching up on the events of the past few days. Sorry to hear your op didn't go ahead but have fingers crossed it will go ahead in the next few weeks.

What a star your OH has been. Very thoughtful. :D Well done on cashing in your broken gold and silver. Better in your pocket than sitting in a drawer unused. :D

Thanks both, no chance of op being done before April now unless I'm prepared to jeopardise our holiday. So have decided to give up and just hope that appointment proposed goes ahead.

HE has finally made the decision I was trying to get him to make regarding working terms due to medical conditions. It was a long hard slog but I've finally got the decision I wanted so all good.

Worked from home today and got a fair bit done. Started at 10am and finished at 4pm. Quite a nice relaxing day.

Mr T have agreed to continue with dmp for a further 6 months. So glad I didn't give in and send them all the evidence they requested.

I'm pretty sure some of the others will be due for review soon too.

I'm very cold this evening even though it's been quite a nice and at least dry day today. My hands are like ice. Time for a cup of tea I think.
