Thanks both
I had a good day today. Rang work and spoke to HIM, was very supportive. I'm going back to work on Tuesday for a short day and then see how it goes, (his words). I asked him to tell my colleagues so I don't have to explain myself when I turn up. Had messages off 2 of them offering words and deeds of support.
OH has been super kind today, making me feel really valued and cared for. He bought me flowers, (even trying to get orange gerberas, my favourite, they are red but he's a bit colour blind), 2 bars of my favourite dark chocolate, (good because I only ever eat one square at a time) and finally a charm for my bracelet. This was extra special as it's a Gemini charm, in memory of my angels, who would be 27 in 2 weeks time. I was overwhelmed with the amount of thought that went into these gifts.
We went out for a spin in the car and had coffee, (OH had a roll and cake, I had a yoghurt). This evening we watched a romcom and a few funny programmes, with OH asking first what I wanted to watch.
We are having a quiet day tomorrow, as the weather is expected to be bad again and then have DGDs on Sunday. Monday I'll have a quiet day on my own preparing myself for work on Tuesday.

The thought that OH put into your gifts, and the care he showed yesterday were heart-warming, especially as it's way out of his usual attentiveness. Bless himWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Hi Granny, so sorry to read about the delay in your op - how disappointing.
Good to hear that your boss is being supportive though and fab that you had such a nice day with OH yesterday.0 -
Today we went into town as the weather was ok and I'm trying to do a little bit of walking every day. OH persuaded me to dig out my old broken gold and silver to take with us. £563 better off today because of it. One bracelet bought in Rhodes 15 years ago was worth double what was paid for it plus it was broken beyond repair.
I gave OH the £63 and kept the rest myself to pay for my MOT and service later this month. So happy now that pressure is off.
OH bought himself a fish, funny how different our minds work.
I'm feeling a bit wobbly today, light headed and just generally myuck, so am going to spend the afternoon knitting

Yep an exotic fish that he's fancied for a while but not been prepared to fork out for. I couldn't afford to buy him anything much for yesterday, settling on the magazine subscription I mentioned the other day and some cheap smellies, total cost £10. (Enough in my opinion as it's only ever meant to be a token gift day). So when they told me the value of the gold, (10x more than I expected), with most of it being broken or odd earrings, I decided to give him some. He was more than grateful tbh and I didn't mind his purchase. He's just got a completely different mind set to me about money.
