Hi :hello: Brizzle nice of you to pop in
All is going well, although I seem to have fallen off the debt busting wagon lately. Done a little bit of damage but nothing that can't be resolved when my redundancy comes through.
I am half way through my notice period but still off work, (no intention of going back) and enjoying being free from HIM as much as I thought I would. HE rings/emails me occasionally but it isn't too painful. HE's on holiday from Monday for 3 weeks so it will be a while before I hear anymore from HIM.
I still haven't decided what I want to do with the rest of my working life. Going to do some online training in a field I've fancied since forever really and see where that takes me. Bit miffed that I can't get funding to do it as it's online but it's a better choice than having to go to college for a year. May use the funding to do a fast track course in something frivolous like nail art instead.
Littlies are all doing well. They are away in Butl1ns this week, having a fantastic time and enjoying the weather.
OH and I are away for a break from the end of next week. It will be good to spend some quality time with him as he always relaxes when we are at this particular place.
I'm still planning to go and visit DD next year for 6wks+ I know I won't want to leave to come home but will have cuddles with DGC to look forward to.
I saw my consultant last week and everything is coming along as it should. He's refusing to do the other operation for 18mths+ though and may decide not at all. I was pretty upset about that but luckily I was still on the other consultant's list too and am going in for a preassessment next week. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
I'm having my hair and nails done next week, courtesy of cheap daily deals. I'm actually having my hair coloured professionally, oh the bliss and also have a facial and massage booked. Time for some pamperage
I went to see DM last week and she was pretty awful, some of her remarks were really cutting and still hurt a bit now, even though I'm trying not to let them. Saw my youngest sister though which was nice. Plan on visiting older one in Sept for a couple of days in London.
I'm enjoying spending time enjoying this lovely weather without having the strain of work. Pity I have to go back to work at some point really. (Ha ha my phone just changed point to pignut, :rotfl:, pretty much sums up going back to work)
Anyway, sorry for the long post, it's been a while.
Hope life is well with all readers
Pop back soonish

Thanks both
I've had a lovely day today
My workplace have paid for me to see a career advisor type person. I booked the meeting ages ago, hoping I'd feel up to discussing the future and if I'm honest nearly cancelled yesterday as I wasn't sure I felt ready. Having decided nothing ventured nothing gained I went ahead with the meeting and it was great. She even offered me part time work, (which I declined as not quite the right job for me), which was such a boost to my confidence. She was so nice and so complimentary and positive about my future that I felt all warm, fuzzy and appreciated. I sent her a thank you email, which seemed to go down well as she replied in a very positive way. It was such a boost to my confidence after what has been a difficult time.
She said she is more than happy to keep in touch and help with my future whenever I feel ready and gave me some really good pointers. I just need to get my health back on track and then get this debt mountain dealt with and then the real fun can begin. For the first time in ages I can honestly see a positive outcome to all this and think the future looks bright.
I'm not even going to feel despondent by the fact that OH & DM didn't even ask how it went, despite my telling them both how nervous I am about this massive change.
Hope any readers have had an equally good day

^ That is SUCH a good post to read. You were scared, you went ahead anyway and it turned into a great success....moral in there somewhere?!!
Very very pleased.
Re DP etc..I really think some people are so daunted by change they blank it when it happens to others too...and those other people are scared as well. Too much to cope with? I am sorry that they couldn't reach out to you, but think it's more common than any of us realise.
Have a great day and thanks for postingMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi Granny I'm so pleased you went to the meeting even though you didn't feel like it. Nothing like a confidence boost when you're feeling a bit down.
Hope you enjoy your holiday away next week xx
