Thanks Lucky, plumbers have been and gone. It's a central heating problem rather than water pipes so gas engineer needed out instead. They are coming tomorrow at some point. I hope they fix it tomorrow as I'm pretty cold this afternoon and have had to eat to warm up as I can't put the heating on.

Hello :hello: Amber, you are so right about that. I normally wouldn't dream of putting the heating on in June but as we are both a bit poorly at the moment it was needed,. However, I just suffered the cold, drank lots of tea and ate all blinking day.
This morning started out hectic with both the plumbers and the building surveyor arriving within 5 minutes of each other. The result, no leak found, damp meter used and there is no water in the ceiling so it's not going to come crashing down on my head. They told us just to keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks and then get a patch repair done on the ceiling. This is good news as far as I'm concerned, although slightly concerning as to where it came from, I'm going to remain positive and hope it's gone away as quickly as it came.
Spent a lovely few hours with my angel, DGD2, playing in the sunshine. She really does bring a smile to my face. DGS practically threw himself at me when I saw him and said up each time I put him down. Delightful little man that he is. DGD1 was full of kisses and snuggles when I saw her too.
The weather has been beautiful today which always manages to lighten my mood. Hoping the weather man has got it right about tomorrow being more of the same. We are off galavanting for the night and planning a 5 mile walk.

Hello :hello: Lam and Missrlr, nice to see you both.
We had a lovely time yesterday, the weather was glorious, I burnt my forehead walking despite putting SPF face cream on.
In the end we walked almost 9 miles in total throughout the day, our 5 mile walk actually being nearly 7. Our meal courtesy of Mr T deals was stunning and free, :T, so only minimum spends yesterday which OH paid.
I'm shattered today though and quite glad to be home. I need to go for a r^d0x bath as I'm aching pretty much every where. Really proud of myself though.
Quiet week planned with possibility that I'll go to my DM at the end of the week. OH is going back to work on Monday.
DGS is 1 in two weeks time, can't believe how the last year has flown.
Small drip of water from the ceiling when we got home, not sure what to do about it really as clearly there's a minor leak somewhere.
Car tax due at the end of the month

Just a quick update
Decided not to go to DMs as I really don't fancy the journey plus her sofas and beds aren't very comfortable and I'm in need of comfort.
OH went back to work on Monday and has done a couple of overtime shifts.
Haven't seen DGD1 this week but other 2 called in on Thurs with DS and DDIL.
Yesterday we went for a walk in the sunshine and had a very yummy ice cream as reward.
Today OH seems annoyed that I'm around. Has already made comment twice that I said I was going to DMs this weekend. If he's says it again I'm likely to blow.
No real financial news, all ticking along in the right direction. I still haven't heard from Mr T re my review so am assuming they've just accepted the continued plan. I really should do a proper review and update my signature.
The weather has been lovely the last couple of days so I've attempted to get out for a bit each day. Mostly walking as it's still not much fun driving.

Oh dear, perhaps OH simply needs some alone time in his natural habitat? Know both DH and I relish weekends at home without the other on occasions

Good to hear that all is mainly well apart from a Grumpy OH. Perhaps he was looking forward to a weekend of nothing but sport and no one to look disappointed at that!
Will DGS be having a wee party? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hello :hello: Missrlr and Lucky
Thanks for the visit
I totally understand where you are coming from but find it very rude of him. He watches sport every weekend, regardless of what else is on or whatever the weather. I often stay out of his way to allow him to do so in peace. So he has absolutely no reason to be so resentful of my being here. It's upset me a fair bit, it's not as though I enjoy being unwell and in pain and it's not as though he has to do anything for me if I'm around. If I could magic myself to my mum's I'd go now despite being uncomfortable, after all it's pretty uncomfortable being in this atmosphere.
He worked this morning, came home, watched TV for an hour, (I'd been sitting enjoying the peace), now he's gone upstairs for a snooze, leaving the TV on. Honestly don't know why I put up with him sometimes.
He uses me for company when he wants it but Goodness help me if he's not in the mood to chat. Enough moaning for now though, I just needed to vent on here really. After all it's my decision to try to make things work between us despite his unsociable behaviour.
DGS won't be having a party as they prefer to go out on their own for the day somewhere nice. DGD2 went to a local zoo for hers, imagine they will do something similar for him.
Hoping to see littlies tomorrow, they always manage to make me smile. They've gone out for the day today with DS as it's Father's Day.
