  • Patanne, you made me laugh. I was taught a similar thing years ago. It really does work. I deal with some really annoying people at work (on the phone) and I just keep smiling, keep my patience and carry on.

So that is it, Christmas break ends tomorrow and I'm back in work on Tuesday :(

I have so enjoyed this time off and realise I was sorely in need of it. I'm really not looking forward to going back. OH goes back tomorrow night for 2 nights and is then off until Friday.

Yesterday was not a NSD and I'm a bit annoyed at myself for that as I succumbed to a special offer for something I didn't need and couldn't cancel the purchase. Never mind, I'll use the items and it was a small spend, done now, no point crying over it.

to counteract it, I actually got around to listing on fleabay, my v1rgin flight as it were. I listed 3 items, totally random, just the 1st 3 that came to hand. A dvd box set, an eyeshadow and a watch, all brand new. 2 have watchers and the eyeshadow has a bid. Only 99p so far but doesn't end until next Saturday.

Seeing how easy, if not boring it was, I'm now going to enter some more items ready for the next free listing period.

    Today was a nsd

it was also Granny day and after hugs with little man, my girlies, OH and I went out for coffee, armed with drinks and snacks for DGDs and sandwiches for us, coffee bought with points. Then back to our house to play with new Christmas toys. Seems like santa did well this year, despite being quite low spends. Most enjoyable time was using DGD2s book piano to listen to DGD2 randomly play and DGD1 follow the lights to play the proper tunes - delightful, makes me smile just thinking of it.

OH took them home while I made mushroom risotto for tea and carrot and coriander soup for lunches next 2 days. I'm going vegetarian/pescetarian for the next few days/week. We have more carrots, some sweet potatoes and cauliflower for more soup and asparagus and spinach for risotto.

Planning on tomorrow being another NSD, staying in and pampering ready for work on Tuesday. Still have to do my debt update. Another overpayment made to target card via bank round down yesterday.

    Night all

Thanks BB, didn't do quite as much as I planned but have had a bath, washed my hair, defuzzed and painted my finger nails. That's enough for now.

Did a bit of tidying up but again not as much as planned, hey ho bit of a theme here.

posting now in an attempt to have an early night as I've not been sleeping well at all

rang health care as still no news. They've referred my case to the hospital to see what they can do to help, fingers crossed, sounds positive I thought. Should hear in the next couple of days, if not I'm going to ring back at the end of the week.

So don't want to go back to reality tomorrow, I've loved being a lady of leisure

oh well debt won't clear itself

  • Hope you here back from Healthcare soon, granny and that they can tet your op organised quickly.

I hope your first day back at work was good. I only got the stat days off over Christmas. Actually quite enjoyed working over the festive period. We had a skeleton staff but were kept quite busy and as one of the more experienced staff members I helped out in a number of different roles. :)
