Oh Granny do be careful please don't over do it before the op it will set you back no end in recovery time. You need to be a strong and well as possible before this op to give yourself the best possible chance. Please don't do long hours it doesn't help you sleep or prepare

Thanks Lam, one sold for the grand sum of £2.24 plus p&p. Not going to rid me of the debt mountain quite yet. :D

Missrlr, I took your advice and instead of doing stuff, I've done next to nothing and taken the time to recuperate after a 1st week back in work. Otherwise, as you rightly say I'll struggle to recover after the op. So that is my plan of action for my weekends now.

Yesterday was nsd#10, today I needed a few bits from Mr T and petrol.

    Tomorrow is Granny day

    Thanks all

Just a quick summary of my day

When a 6 month old practically launches himself off his mother's lap to get at me and then spends his time touching my face and beaming at me

    and

when a 2 year old runs up to me throughout the day saying 'Granny, my love you' over and over again

    and

when a 7 year old squeals with delight when she sees me in the school yard

    and

a 2 year old says goodbye with the words 'thank you for a lovely day'

I am so glad to be alive. A truly magical day that sends me to bed with a smile on my face and sets me up well for the rest of the week
