I have an ancient package comprising:

    Broadband size M £18.00
TV & Telephone service (analogue box) £16.50
Talk Evenings & Weekends Local £2.00
    Previously negotiated discount of £5.50
Total cost £31.00, plus call usage (phone calls average £10-12 per month)

I find it hard to compare this old package with the millions on offer & what other posters are getting or renegotiating, but still think I could do better - help!! - what do I ask for? Basic TV package enough for us, but teenage son really missing Sky 1 'cos of Simpsons etc. Might just pack in the lot, get Freeview box, BT 'phone & broadband from whoever, but it all seems such a slog!! We've saved quite a bit of cash over the last year or so following advice in these fora & from Martin's emails, so I should continue shouldn't I?!

Thanks in advance for any advice, folks!

You could proberly get basic tv, 2mb broadband and telephone XL which is all calls included except mobiles & 0845/0870 for not much more with bargining, then you wont have the extra £10-12 either give it a go tell them what you want for how much and they will negotiate! xx good luck!

Are you people actually getting through. I have tried via telno 150 for the last week and it just cuts me off after 10 minutes of playing 'press this button' ping pong. What options do you press to actually speak with an operator these days as I thought I'd tried every available option? Or is there a decent 0845 number that works (0845 454 1111 is useless)?

    Thanks.
try 0800 073 0591 about 20-30 mins wait to be answered.

I would have thought my earlier post #141 re-BT/SKY would offer a competetive option and would also cover the SKY 1 requirement
  • Just got through on 0800 052 9403 (after approx 30 minutes)
    Current package phone - XL, TV - M, Broadband - M cost £48.50
Offered upgrade on TV from M to XL with a monthly price reduction to £34.95 and was told the discount was ongoing !
