    If you ONLY remove the PROSet software (as above) then the Windows Wireless Utility should take over either immediately or following a reboot.

    You may need your network key to reconnect to your router.

    Actually, if you go into the PROSet utility now, you should find an option that says something like "Use Windows to control wireless connections"

    select that and the Windows utility should take control.
    get in from add/remove, or search?

    hi figment, as you can assume by my reticence, I am hesitant at my ability to !!!! this up;;;:rotfl:
    If it can be done, I will.
    Notice that link was for XP, as mine,s Vista, may be different, going to go in and recheck:beer:
    edit;;;there,s no advanced in the 3 options available, so xp must be different, I,m going via search, not control panel;
    If that option was/is available, in vista, it would be very helpful.
    At present it,s picking up my router ,first time, but that can change any time;
    Bare with me, as I am a bit wary of making an error;until I am familiar with procedure;cheers. hope I,m not being a pain;but once you go into uninstal in cp, you are past the point of no return, I think???????

    Trying to use the ProSet Utility to select Windows to manage WiFi is the option 2 I posted in #58 but you seem to be having difficulty. I recommend you uninstall ProSet as described by Figment. When you get to the list below that gives you 4 choices select Remove. Do not save application settings.

    Once you have rebooted, having uninstalled ProSet, Windows will be managing your wireless connections so you should now be able to follow the instructions in posts # 11, 22, 24 and 30.

    Presume it,s running on windows wifi now, so must have saved the drivers?
    Thanks for suffering my hesitation, it,s been a long thread, and everyone on it has been great, as usual.
