Every day on the Mighty Deals site I read incorrect information - don't they have a proof reader or is it a deliberate attempt to defraud!

For example today's first deal "Up to a Year's Supply of Finish
    Dishwasher Tablets for £10.49" http://www.mightydeals.co.uk/deals/national/Home-Garden/1-Pack-Finish-XXL-Powerball-Classic-Dishwasher-Tablets/11125

1st they admit further down that it's actually a years, only a third of a years supply. Although the comment of "Ideal for everyday use" would suggest a years supply is 365 not 330?

2nd In the description they claim "pack of 114 " yet the image and other description refers to 110 to a pack?

3rd How exactly do they manage to "double on your dishwashing supplies with two packs for just £21.95"? My maths and their checkout suggest that it's £20.98?

4th "a whole year’s supply with 3 packs for just £32.95" that would be £31.47 or as the checkout reduces it down to £29.99.

5th "You'll save 69% on each option." is simply mathematically
incorrect and I believe a criminal offence under the Consumer
Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 as this would be considered as misleading pricing.

After all the mistakes it's then not even a "Mighty Deal" as it's
    cheaper from Amazon!

Using the 90 Tablet box it works out at £14.66 a box rather than Mighty Deals' overpriced £16.48, or if you subscribe and save it's just £13.93!

    Then take http://www.mightydeals.co.uk/deals/national/Home-Garden/Swan-Pan-Set-Carbon-Cookware-Set/10177

Swan 5-Piece Swan Pan Set priced at £19.99 with a claimed discount of 48%? Worth £32.00?? They even make it worse claiming 50% discount further in the text! Again cheaper on Amazon. This company just makes up the text to appeal to customer who are no good at maths!

Can MightyDeals representative defend the criminal offence?

Can anyone help me with a problem I have with a company called Might Deals?
I linked to them via a Vouchers website on the 24th March to purchase what I believed to be a pair of Binoculars.
I hadn't realised that what I was purchasing was actually a voucher and not the Binoculars at all.
After 10 days passed I re-read the email receipt I received and realising my mistake I contacted themnthrough their website but heard nothing.
I left it for another 10 days and after still hearing nothing, I followed the process again only to receive an email advising that I am not entitled to a refund.
They now have my money and I have no Binoculars and the voucher has now expired.
Is this correct? Can they really hold on to my money which I have asked them to return?

    Please help?!?!

I paid for, but have never received anything...they keep saying they'll send it and as long as I register before 30th June 2013 I'll get my voucher!

    I have email after email.

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you for participating in our recent offer to buy £20 worth of Fuel for £10 through the Shell Drivers’ Club points scheme. I wanted to personally write to you to make you aware of when you will receive your vouchers.

The Shell Drivers’ Club statement process which sends the vouchers, occurs every quarter in February, May, August and November. As long as you registered your personal details to the Shell Drivers’ Club card sent to you by Mighty Deals by the end of June, you will receive your vouchers in the August statement.
We originally stated on the deal terms the voucher would be despatched within 6 weeks from the 30th June. We are however now expecting these to be sent out to all customers from Monday 26th August. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the delay in sending out the vouchers. As this is done in batches it can take a few weeks, so I would expect at the very latest you will receive your vouchers by Friday 13th September.

If you did not register the card, then we will honour this for you and extend the period. Providing you register before the end of September, then we can send the vouchers to you at the end of November / early December. Please note we are unable to redeem points out of this cycle.

We do have a call centre for the Shell Drivers’ Club, in the unlikely event you have not received your vouchers by the 13th September and you did register the card, then please contact us at https://www.shell.co.uk/driversclub or alternatively on 08459 006 009.

    With Thanks,

  • Hi all

Has anybody had problems with reference to buying a notepad through Mighty Deals?

We originally bought a tablet back at the end of July but it turned out to be faulty. Mighty Deals told us to return it to the supplier, Jayesh Direct, for a full refund.

As of today, despite numerous calls to Mighty Deals in which we have continually been cut off, we finally spoke to them yesterday and they said they were chasing the supplier to see what has happened.

We were also given the suppliers details and have been promised a phone call back both yesterday and today.

As of today, even though we have called both Mighty Deals and Jayesh Direct, nobody can seem to understand what the other is doing and in the meantime they have my money.

I will be calling them again tomorrow and I am afraid to say that if I do not get a response and my money refunded by the end of the week, I am going to have no choice other than to get Trading Standards involved.

Mighty Deals tell us they are trying to find out what is happening, Jayesh Direct cannot, even with the technology of computers, tell us what is going on and I find it totally unacceptable that after 2 months they still have my money......

I will let people know the outcome as soon as I know what is going on......my warning is, be careful of electric products .......
  • It would seem this is a common problem, wish I had seen this page before buying my voucher for the Calvin klein boxers deal back in august. Still haven't received them or any response to the numerous emails I have sent.
The voucher offer was redeemed through a firm called Vitus who just tell me to contact mighty deals for my money back, but no reply when I do email them. Not sure what else I can ?? Very annoyed.
  • I am experiencing an issue with a tablet, have't received it yet my friend who paid for theirs 2 days after me has already received an email confirming delivery tomorrow. how does that work?

I live locally to their office, i'm not sure if it's worth popping in or giving them a call? has anyone had any luck getting hold of them? There is an email address on the invoice but again no response.
  • wow after posting here their customer service team have been in contact! thanks to anyone who may have any impact on them!
  • I purchased an 'expandable hose' from this site on 9th September 2013, paying £19.99 plus £4.99 p+p, on 12th October 2013 I recieved an email stating that they are 'out of stock' and if I give them the Order no. that they will refund my Bank Account, I have sent them every order no, invoice no. etc. but they keep saying it's not the right one. They have my details and know that I purchased the item, so why can't they just do the refund?
To make matters worse, I purchased another 'expandable hose" for the same money a few weeks later with the same people, I'm expecting an email any day now saying 'out of stock'
I rang their phone no.01483 412 978 (option 3), option 1 no-one answers, just rings and rings, option 2 is email address, option 3 you get cut off after 2 seconds.
I am passing the details of this company around, friends, family, various websites to warn people to steer clear.

  • I too have bought a android tablet off this mighty deals in mid October although the '20days' for delivery is not quite over I am very concerned if this item is coming! On the website it states to look on your voucher for who is supplying - there is no details what so ever. Have tried contacting mighty deals has anyone actually got one of these tablets delivered?
  • I ordered 2x 7" Android Tablets from mighty deals on 06/10/2013 and received both on Monday (04/11/2013). However, they are both faulty - neither of them will charge. I have tried letting the battery run down and then charging the empty battery but it doesn't even seem to recognise the charger is plugged in.

Can someone please advise me of the best steps to take? I bought these both as Christmas presents so if I send them back I would like some guarantee that I will receive replacements in time for Christmas!

    Thanks!
