Not hard to find and they state exactly what they are going to do, in fact they state it twice. And they tell you how to get it back. And how to cancel card payments.
5. Fees
We charge a fee for providing a service of acting as a finance broker. We specify the fee as part of our communications with You. If You do not enter into a loan offered by lender or financier within the 6 months that we act for You. We will refund the fee less than the £5 brokerage fee provided for by the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Refunds must be requested in writing to avoid repayments being sent to a wrong address. To facilitate Us processing payments and repayments You authorise Us to retain your charge, credit and debit card details. With regards to payments set up by debit or credit card we will attempt to take £69.99 when you make your application. If this payment declines we will immediately attempt to take a payment of £1 in order to validate your card details, should both of these attempts fail we will attempt to take the £69.99 until You notify Us in writing that you wish Us to cancel such attempts or a period of 62 days has passed. Should the £1 validation payment accept then we will then attempt to take the £68.99 once per day until you notify us in writing that you wish Us to cancel such attempts or a period of 62 days has passed.
Under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have the right to cancel your agreement with us within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions, you will be entitled to a full refund which will be made within 30 days of receiving your request. If you would like to cancel You must Inform us in writing by email to customerservices@loanmarketing.co.uk or by writing to Loan Marketing Ltd, 5300 Lakeside, Cheadle Royal Business Park, Manchester, SK83GP.

● These are the terms set out by Loan Marketing Ltd with regard to future payments set up by Credit or Debit Card.
● If your payment for £69.99 declines on the day of your application, we will attempt to take £1 on the same day to validate the card details. This process will be repeated until you notify us in writing that you wish to cancel your application or a period of 62 days has passed. If the £1 card validation payment is successful we will then attempt to take £68.99 from the card once a day until you notify Us in writing that you wish to cancel or a period of 62 days has passed.
● You can cancel a Credit or Debit card payment at any time by simply contacting Loan Marketing by email to customerservices@loanmarketing.co.uk or by writing to Loan Marketing, 5300 Lakeside, Cheadle Royal Business Park, Manchester, SK83GP

Incredible! I had answered your question directly above that post, directly under the first time you asked the same thing.

I can only advise that you forget about the money and move on.

Some additional advice would be to cancel their Internet subscription - they are clearly not safe to be allowed on the web unsupervised.
• Hi Folks,

Having read the entire thread I still unable to draw a conclusion to my situation.

I understood that myloans was a broker and that they would charge me the £69.99 upon successful completion of my loan acceptance, when filling in the form I did indeed enter my sort code and account number however the final page states that money would be taken for "application" not acceptance.

I DID NOT enter my card details as there is no way in hell I'm handing over card details online to a company like that. I closed the application and immediately Google'd Myloans and found my way here - I should try Google first next time thanks Captain Hindsight.

The Question -

Does anyone know if I can still be debited any monies having only provided my sort code and account number (not my card details). As I understand it these details can only be used for a direct debit which I have not authorised in this case.

Did anyone else get to the same stage and quit and find themselves being charged anyway?

I have not received any form of contact from Myloans neither email nor mobile as of yet having literally just done this before coming here, therefore even if I was to send a precautionary cancellation I have no reference.

I have not entered my CARD details anywhere online, only my acct & sort code on a previous application with a different company.

Thank you in advance for any reply.

If you haven't entered your card details, then they cannot debit your account.

Only supplying your sort code and account number means nothing. Anyone could get those details from one of your cheques.

Thanks Poppa Smurf, I thought they might still be able to set up a direct debit or standing order.
• Even if they set up a Direct Debit, the rules for a DD stipulate that they have to notify you before taking any money from your account. The DD rules also entitle you to an immediate refund of any payment made without such notice.

If you are still worried, you could instruct your bank not to accept any DD or SO from this company.

If any one is still havin trouble wid this myloans company I applied thinkin it was a lender as there was no mention of fees in the T&C, then £67.88 went out of my account, I was straight on the fone to bank who informed me that the company was myloans-now, which I hadn't heard of, so I rang the FCA and they informed me that myloans was not registered with them, so I rang the action fraud police and they are investigatin it, they changed there name so they cud take money from my account since I put a stop on it when my bank rang to say an unauthorised transaction had taken place

Hi,

When I go to myloan.co.uk it says (no matter how I try to go there) that they're not accepting new customers?

Whereas myloan-now.co.uk on their homepage states 'Loan matching fee £67.88' so you might want to check your browser history.

From myloan-now's site;
