  • After returning from my first lads holiday in Greece I found that I was going to be skint for a month so I decided to look into getting a loan on the 12/08/2013. I visted the my loan website as they were the first option on pay day loans. I sent in an application and wasn't aware of the £69.99 service charge. After managing to get through to pay day with out having to take any loan on 28/08/2013. I then noticed on y online banking that my loan had removed the service fee on 28/08/2013. I then phoned them 29/08/2013 and spoke to an agent called Daniel. He was friendly but seemed like he got this type of phone call everyday. He sent me a cancellation email which I sent the same day and was told to phone back on the Friday to check the status of my cancellation. I did so on the 30/08/2013 and he said it was approved and it would take 30 days to go through. I wasn't happy with this and demanded it back ASAP. He then told me to send an email containing my financial hard ship and why I should have the money back ASAP and for them to act out of there terms and conditions. I did so telling them in the email nothing but lies. They accepted my email and my refund was issued on that day as was back in my account on the 06/09/2013. The agent who felt with my refund from start to finish was Daniel. I advise everyone to avoid this company and if you are in the same position I was you can email me and I will send the same email I did explaining my financial hardship. This way you are guaranteed your money back withing 7 days. Thank you.
hi how did you do that ?and can you tell me thanks

I have same problem really made they have taken £27.31 for what.cant get number for them.they should be stop,

Why do you need a telephone number?

Do what it says in their Terms & Conditions (did you read them before giving out your card details?) and write to them demanding a refund. Do not email, do not phone (especially do not ring premium rate 0844 telephone numbers), just write, preferably by recorded delivery.

You would have known this if you read ALL the posts above.

    She's either illiterate or lazy.

My guess is lazy as she was also too lazy to read the myloan T&Cs before parting with her card details.

  • I have just today been hit with a £27.31 payment taken. The fact that I did not fill a single item box in on the site makes me even more furious. My details were passed on by a 3rd party as "a company that will help you" thing, after a recognized non brokered direct lender site declined my application as I have just moved and not updated my Electoral Roll details. I was re-directed to these complete clowns, who already had my details filled in. I closed the window straight away after scrolling to the bottom. I did NOT tick any I agree boxes, nor give any kind of indication I wanted to proceed with their offer of help.

So, how is that justified in the stinking terms and conditions. It's theft, plain and simple. You have taken money off me, and no doubt countless others, by defrauding us through just visiting your site, which I will say again, was not even my choice or decision.

There has to be a Law enforced soon that punishes these company's to the maximum. They are creating misery and hardship by preying on the less fortunate. I my self, are rather fortunate, and am in the position to just put it down to a lesson learnt, and wait till Monday next time when the bank opens to extend my overdraft temporarily. Others are not.

I have read this entire thread and am disgusted at the attitude of some that just rant on and quote terms and conditions, as if that is going to help people now! The brokering fee should not be enforced untill after a loan is successfully transacted, but we all know this is never going to happen until an enforceable change is brought in by the regulatory commission.

These sites seem to think people who need a short term loan are incapable of using Google and searching for them selves. They know no one in their right frame of mind would hand over anything up to £50 just to do a "search" of compatible lenders, so they pass you round and round till you get stung. Unfortunately the money theft is only the tip of the iceberg, you then have to suffer hundreds of phone calls, which are automated and do not even have anyone at the other end, till you answer and your put in a waiting system, even though they called you. You also get bombarded with texts, offering you cash, that you will never see.

The sooner this sector of loan option is closed permanently, the better, for everybody.

    Yours rather fumingly, another victim.

So hopefully, you are not going to let them get away with it. Using the advice above, which you may distain, will enable you to do just that, but only if you follow the advice given.

If you are not prepared to do that, then wave goodbye to your money.

Nobody on this site welcomes anyone losing money, but some of us do get rather fed up of dishing out the same advice time and time again to people who just will not read T&C's before they blindly hand over their debit card details willy-nilly to all and sundry, and then wonder why they've been diddled.

  • Maybe I was a little harsh in my wording about members reminding others about terms etc, it just seems such a familiar pattern through reading, but then I guess with so many people having the same tale to tell, and no doubt a high % not bothering to read the entire thread, it is a necessary evil to have to do so.

I will be following up the missing monies where abouts, and push for a refund as well as written confirmation my details have been destroyed, as I know changing cards will in no way stop them if they take it upon them selves to extract more from my account.

I really do feel for some of the other members that have been hit by this kind of, well, I wont say scam but practice. It can lead to all manor of dificulties when your not expecting a debit from your account.

You've every right to have a good rant but you haven't even mentioned which site you DID visit where you entered all your bank details.

They are the ones who passed your details on for you to be scammed like this in the first place but you have some kind of misguided trust in them, well, enough to protect the name of the company.

Naming the company who passed on your details could help prevent others falling for the same thing.
  • Was not sure if I would be violating any terms here by naming the specific company. Believe me, there is no trust, misguided or other wise that I have for any of them now lol.

It was Peachy Loans. I chose them over the bigger branded Wonga and Quick Quid as the APR was low. I only wanted £30 to cover a night out but as the minimum was £50 and it gave the option of paying back in 5 days with just £7.50 added in total it sounded more than acceptable.
