I think I would only do it if I had a really rock solid marriage. If there had been problems in the marriage recently I would be worried if one of the partners decided they preferred life apart. And if they did end up splitting 6 months away may have some bearing on custody.

It's a decision that only the people involved can make, what works for one family may not work for the other, some kids thrive at boarding school and have no problems, some struggle and it affects them for years, some have no problem with parents being away some do. I think it depends on the strength of the marriage and also the children, if there's been recent problems with the marriage or with the children this makes the decision harder.

I would imagine thats a typo

Kimberley can usually string a coherent sentance together

That's why I pointed it out, it was the only error and it was repeated a couple of times.

    I'm confused.

'Carer' as in main care giver? Not career.

Am I looking at the wrong thing?

It was my husband who encouraged me to apply to start with. He is also encouraging me to go back to universaty even though it will mean time away, I have surported him in his carea getting him to where he wanted to be and he wants to return the favour to me.

I'm not just being critical, the OP can clearly spell but as she put 'carea' twice I assumed she was under the impression that was correct and would want to know it wasn't. It'd be a shame to write it on an application form just because nobody ever pointed out your error!

(Not that you should apply for this job of course. ;))

OP, sorry to be picky, but its spelled career, not carea. I don't normally like being a spelling nazi but if you're going to have one you'll need to know how to spell it!

I don't think it's fair to point out someone's spelling mistakes when you have punctuation errors yourself.
