far too many "it depends" to give any kind of an opinion. the question is I suspect would YOU.

  • In all honesty, no. Not because I wouldn't trust their father to be perfectly good at looking after them, but because no job would ever have been good enough for me to be without my children for 6 months when they were that age.

I want to take this job so much but I worry I would be looked down on for doing so, yet I also feel if it was my husband doing it no one would bat an eyelid

That is true to a point but you asking the question may mean you have some doubts?

Would you be able to see the kids at the weekends on school hols at all within the six months?

If the people looking down on you aren't your husband or your children, they don't matter.

If your husband or children (especially your children) aren't keen, that's entirely different.

Why is the job only 6 months? Would it turn into a permanent thing? Also, where is the job? Being halfway across the country is one thing, being in Australia would be another. Also, other than you being away, what would the other differences be to their life? Any?
