badmumof1, I originally asked opinions on the situation, I was not asking for your opinion on me
Thank you to the decent members who gave me good advice
And to the ones who can't be civil, please feel free not to comment on my posts.0 -

It's a public forum, people are free to reply as they see fit. You don't always get the advice that you want to hear, it doesn't mean it is wrong or bad.0 -
A public forum, yes.
A childrens playground, this is not
Why so much nastiness??
Nastiness is wrong, sarcasm is wrong, rudeness is wrong
I have heard from a member who had similar experience 6-7 years ago, others who suggested writing to head office, the shelter housing person, the member who had worked for 'no win, no fee' company, Fosterdogs comment #39, suggestions about letters of praise these were all valuable bits of insight and advice.
I came here for advice, took onboard civilised comments and experiences and used that to base my decision on
Whats so wrong in that? Isn't this what the forum is for?
I get accused of being a money grabber, saying I 'climbed down' on my email, even had to put up with remarks such as
'IMHO OP was all for compo but now has calmed and probably realised how silly she would have looked going down that route'0 -

If you see a post which you feel is inappropriate you can report it using the report button in the lower right of each post:-

If you feel that the Forum Team are not "policing" the boards sufficiently then take it up with the Forum Team.
You can do this by emailing them using the link at the top of every page, or the link in my signature.
Alternatively you can raise your concerns on the Site Feedback board.
Please see:- http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs#moderatedHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. It is not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Did you, by any chance, actually read the link that I posted to the Forum Rules for you? It clearly explains MSE's policy on "Moderation" and the actions that will be taken over posts which discuss that policy on the boards.
I'll post it again for you.

I was under the impression that there are no moderators on this forum, but that there are board guides?
Yep. Following the link in the brief quote below will tell you everything you ever wanted to know. (Probably more than you ever wanted to know

What's the difference between the Forum Team and Board Guides?
FORUM TEAM
The Forum Team is employed by the site and paid to read and deal with reports sent to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
They don't moderate the site and they don't read the several thousand posts on this forum every day. Instead they rely on users to report posts under the "report a post system". If users don't report, the Forum Team remains unaware.
None of the Forum Team post with any identity other than Forum Team 1, 2, 3 etc on the forum; it's in their employment contract.
BOARD GUIDES
The Board Guides are volunteer users who help to keep the forum running smoothly. They do not deal with reports made - and are totally separate to the Forum Team.
