Family breakdown - never mind just being DH!

Hello all,

Just an update, I'm sorry I haven't been back much on this thread.

As things are, we're going for divorce next year. No fighting or anything, and he's still in the other bedroom. We still get on, still great friends as we've always been.

He doesn't know that I know, but I found evidence that he was/is still contacting strange women and inventing alternative versions of his life. One of them being that he wouldn't agree to divorce me as he didn't agree with my reasons.... News to me. Also stating he was still working aboard in a higher position than he was. Which he isn't. He got let go.

He has admitted his self esteem issues mean that he thinks as I'm his wide I have to find him attractive, whereas these girls don't have to, hence the ego boost.

So, it appears no matter what I do or say. I'll never be enough for him. He'll always just think I have to do x,y,z..... And the pattern will continue. I can't keep doing to myself, he's never realised how much him contacting others has floored me, ripped everything ounce of self respect & confidence I've ever had away. I'm scared of walking away, as I feel no one will ever want me again, but at least I can not be walking on eggshells, waiting for the next incident to happen.

Thank you all for your kind words during these last 8 months. They have been invaluable.

I'm looking for a new bed in the sales, and taking comfort in the fact that I can choose one I love, and not have to consider anyone else's thoughts! It's been such a long time that I've only had to consider my choices, that I don't really know why I want, but its nice thinking about it. X
