Congrats Pigpen - well done you!!!!! Imagine that stuff would have been sitting around gathering dust!
Well, OH has blown his £80 odd ebay earnings on a PSP - my friends OH mentioned he has one he keeps on the cistern for when he is lounging on the porcelaine! Deep joy!
So, we have lost a PS2 and Nintendo - and gained a PSP!
There I was ready to book a weekend away!
On another subject, the couple that put in the low offer have offered more, but its still not high enough. They are obviously keen on the house and are chain free but its not simply not enough to pay off the mortgage, so we will stick to the guns as we are only 3 weeks in. We have another viewing tomorrow, one Saturday and a second viewing Monday.
I have lots of plans for the weekend - I have stacks of ebay stuff to sort through and list, I must remember to take my camera home with me!!! If it stays dry, I will uncover my motorbike and polish it up a bit - anyone any experience in selling motorbikes??Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Good Morning All
Sooo much to do before OH's birthday party tomorrow night .. thankfully OH has been helping!
Yesterday we got kitchen/bathroom/living room/stairs tidied... I cleaned whilst OH hoovered throughout. Put loads of newspapers/holiday brochures/catalogues out with the recycling this morning which cleared loads of room in the living room. Only thing left to do is clean skirting boards (cat/dog paw prints everywhere!) and wash the tiled part of the kitchen floor (will do this just before party - no point with OH/dog coming in and out of the garden all the time!) oh, and I need to wash all the muddy paw prints off the window in the kitchen that the cats jump in and out of.
We finished mowing the back lawn yesterday (OH did more work on it than me!), along with about 100 dog poos removed (we slacked over the winter!). Put about 15 bags of grass out this morning for the care for your area people to collect, which they have done just now.
So by tomorrow I now need to:
(making a list to keep me on track!)- Finish washing covers off sofa where kitten decided to wee !
- Clean skirting boards and kitchen floor
- Sort out the 2 spare rooms to create enough space for the people sleeping over after the party!
- Dig out the old table from the shed and clean it up ready for food/drink to go on tomorrow night
- Wash the dog :rotfl: I think he's currently the dirtiest thing in the house!
- Clean the windows
- Tidy up the back garden ready for tomorrow (BBQ for the party and a fire - my OH's favourite activity!), although now it's all mowed it's looking a lot tidier already! And wipe down the garden furniture!
Hopefully if all gets done today then all we'll have to do tomorrow is prepare food/put up balloons etc! If it appears I've missed anything off this list that may need doing, someone please let me know! :beer:Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
:T You're all doing so well..............even though pigpen is wearing me out with her rushing around.............lol
Shan't be doing anything today as I've got an appointment for a back massage and manicure (part of OH's christmas pressie -voucher for all sorts)
But.........next thing is my wardrobe........opened it this morning and a load of jumpers fell out that were supposed to be stacked in baskets at the bottom..........lol Half of them I forgot and I have been good.......I've not ut them back..............they're the start of my first chuck out pile !Mary

Everyone needs a day off ... unfortunately I have more days off than on! :rotfl:
I should really give some clothes to charity ... the drawers are overflowing with clothes I rarely (if ever) wear!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
It's not just me then......................lol
Trouble is, I look at bits of clothing and think.........well, maybe next year I'll wear it ? and back it goes squashed in the wardrobeMary

I have visions of going through all mine and trying them on first before the big 'shall I shan't I' decisions..............trouble is, stuff that fitted me the other year doesn't fit me now...............but it might next year.............
But as I get them all from our charity shops I might as well get rid and start again -not totally but if I havent worn them in, say, 3 years, then I'll chuck them. There, decision made:jMary

Ah, Mary, what a great day for you with the massage and manicure! Sounds bliss, let us know how it goes.
Good luck with the wardrobe sorting. I went through 2 complete wardrobe changes last year with the weight loss and I have a total of about 40 garments now (including special stuff like skiwear, but not including undies) which still seems too much. I'll have a recount later. Now that the season is changing I may need to buy a couple of summery bits soon...
I have a friend who says I have fewer items in my entire wardrobe than she takes on her annual holiday :rotfl:0
