I folded up the table and put the rabbit cage back on the floor so that looks much tidier already.. I vacuumed most of the floor.. ok.. about half!!

I have thrown out all the childrens headlice though!! That is just fantastic!!

I've had to empty Henry twice during my vacuuming.. I've found a table I want for the back room but I am going to go have a gander in the charity shop on Monday see if they have something similar and cheaper!!

  • After a day in the garden - decided we do not need 2 patio sets so have flung one on Freecycle and with luck it'll go tomorrow.

Only other bits flung are masses of weeds!! LOL

Welcome Diane_239, sounds like you have been doing really well on eBay.

Pigpen the headlice removal is a relief to all of us!

I have had a freecycler collect three old CD storage units that I had kicking around in the loft today.

I have also responded to a plea for a laptop as I have an old Windows 98 model that is sitting around gathering dust. We will see if that is likely to move.

Also, have seen a plea for a gazebo and I have an old one in the garden shed that might be of use, need to examine it in case it has rotted or has pieces missing or something, then I can offer if its ok.

Have posted up another offer on freecycle to get rid of excess tomato plants, potato tubers and some more carriers of plant pots (I am drowning in them!).

Will list the first wave of ebay stuff tonight as I want it to run out over Bank Holiday when more people are likely to be online.

    Have a good day everyone!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Morning everyone & welcome Diane :)

Yesterday nothing came into the house and I got rid of: Half of my decorating old rags/towels etc, my slippers which have finally fallen apart and a small bundle of clothes which I'll try to sell as one lot on ebay.

Here is my wardrobe for you lot to inspect :p

[see pic further down the page]

I'm up to date with my washing and ironing so what you see there are all my clothes except for the ones I have on! I don't have clothes in drawers, everything gets hung, even the pyjamas! That's also all my shoes except my trainers and wellies which are downstairs (for those who remember me asking how many pairs of shoes is 'normal'...)

I actually have a 6-piece luggage set, but it all fits inside the biggest suitcase which you can see there. A great space saver! :D

    Good luck with efforts today!

missyg -thats what I want my wardrobe to look like............can't see it happening though.................was intending to start clearing it today then rain held off -in fact it's been a lovely morning so ex foster girl and me went to the local boot fair.

In - two plants and some bits and bobs for christmas baskets
Out - some of my London pride plant thats spread all over the place

I was very good at the boot fair...........could have run riot and didn't so I'm quite pleased with myself and ex foster girl couldn't believe the change in my little den since my clear out !!!:T
So I must be doing something right:j

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

  • Welcome Diane, I only joined this thread a few days ago and have a LONG way to go. Popped on now to give an update as we are making good progress so far today, despite (or is it because of?) the rain outside. Have taken some stuff to tip and offered 3 items on freecycle. OH is frantically hoovering around (which with 2 dogs and a cat is a major endeavour ;)) and then we're planning to do some emulsioning in the kitchen to give the place a sprucing up. Have sorted through all kitchen cupboards in anticipation of the decorating and parted with loads of stuff which was simply cluttering them up. Feels good that we are making progress even if it's slow.

MISSY!!! I am HORRIFIED.. you have not colour coded you wardrobe.. get up those stairs and get it all in colour order!!! Honestly... what are you? a savage??

I filled 2 carriers of rubbish from my room before I came down the stairs this morning.. and I got rid of a few small boxes by decanting their contents (christmas presents and lush) into their proper places!!
