missyg - massage was total bliss...........oh if only I could have that every day.............manicure was nice as someone else was doing it and I think,it just might make me start doing my nails again. Got out of all these 'female' habitsa while back. OH says I look tons better, shows in my face so that can't be bad as I don't get the facial till next week..............lol Mind you, chipped my nail polish as soon as I got home.

Been trying to find out a bit about Mums floral china I've got and can't find anything like it so it must have been a bog standard war time pattern.......got the name and everything, Mums pattern just isn't there.
Then thought I'd try on and find out a bit about these old books I've got that no-one wants...........drew a blank again...........even tried ebay search -not a toffee !! But did spot an NME (can't remember what was on the front page now but nothing like the ones I had and was going at £1.99 at the minute with 4 days to go...............lol

It is the right time of year to have a clear out of clothes........need to drag out my sweatshirts and see what fits as well as sorting through thick jumpers that I haven't worn...............think that'll be Mondays job maybe............or Sunday if it rains (which is forecast) -means local boot fair will be cancelled again ! Poo !

  • My latest plan of attack.......

We have just had a new floor put in our living room, ready for selling, so no furniture is in there at the moment, as it still needs another coat of oil. With all this clear space, very unusual in this house, I am going to collect some bundles of clothes up, photograph them today and put them on ebay tomorrow, for a 3 day auction. If they sell, that's great........if they don't, they will be all packed up ready to go to a charity shop on Monday.

This will, hopefully, wean me off Ebaying gently, I'm still finding it difficult just to pass things on to charity shops, etc.

Wish me luck, as I'm great at coming up with a plan of action, but very rarely see it through.

OMG I've failed again, I suffer from depression and went into a major episode
after making all my plans. Anyways, I started bagging up my Ebay piles and I'm beginning to feel better, so I think it's just going to be a lot of flinging this weekend.

Maybe freeing myself from the clutter in the house will free up the old mind!

    Hi everyone,

    Phew what a week!

Mary - good luck with wardrobe sorting, its on my list too.

First though is to start tackling my office. I need to somehow clear everything and get another desk in here for OH for when he starts working at home.

As you will see from my photos, it is horrendous and hard to believe anyone could work in this mayhem. Anyone who has seen how tidy OH's house won't believe what a hellhole my house is!

Simple excuse - I have just been too busy to concentrate on getting sorted - it got really bad when I doubled up on my MBA modules - but enough excuses.....

well now I have sorted the photos out, I am committed to getting this sorted.

I plan to start identifying stuff to list on ebay:
    • A huge box of silk flowers from my wedding - need to get these done for all those springtime weddings!
    • My wedding dress (which has been cleaned)
    • A marabou feather cape that I decided not to wear on the big day (I looked like emu with it on!)
    • MBA study books.
    • Other MBA related books that I can't see myself needing to keep
    • Two brass lamps
    • Some folders full of prima patterns
    • 6 blocks of oasis for flower arranging that I didn't use for the wedding
    • A child's portable keyboard
    • Some lights that I didn't end up using for the wedding
    • Some lights that I did use for the wedding
    • An old IPAQ that needs a new battery but has loads of accessories
    • A nearly new underwater strobe that I haven't been happy with
    • A Prince2 Computer based training set
    • a Pink satin basque
    • A needlework frame
    • A Laptop bag
    • Some planet of the apes dolls
    • A blue machine dye
    • A collection of RHS "The garden" magazines
Then there are things for freecycle:
    • Some plywood cd boxes (I got rid of some before and then found more!)
    • Four 4 ring binder folders
Some things for the local paper:
    • A flymo mower that my Dad cleaned up for us
In addition, I think i will try to bag up some plastic flower pots from the garden and give those away on freecycle.

    Off to work then!

What can I say? (to a fellow creative) My ex-boss used to say about my ability to work in complete chaos that it was the sign of a genius (I think he was scared of me!:D )

I haven't even started on the den yet....

Oh, by the way, I splurged on a weekend away to Berlin for me, OH and my parents for my Mum's 70th Birthday, so now I have to raise funds to pay for it before the bill arrives next month!!!

You should do well with that lot angela - can't wait till you start on your den..............mind you - you haven't seen out 'building site' room that leads off the kitchen, bedroom and spare room..........and thank goodness I don't have a digi camera so you'll have to take my word for the 'organised chaos' -that was my word for it and still it...............lol

Mary I could easily have a massage a day too - one for if we win the lottery I guess ;) Glad you enjoyed your day. Last time I had a manicure they were running late and I was going to be late picking up my son so I couldn't even wait for it to get touch dry and it got smeared all over the place as I put my socks and trainers on :rotfl:

Tibbie's Mum, your health is more important than anything else... look after yourself.

Angela, loving those before pics! I just know it's going to be perfecto when it's done 'cos we've seen your previous work ;) Good luck with the ebaying hope it brings you a nice little fortune (or a big one!) to pay for that trip!

I don't plan to do any sorting this weekend, there isn't really anything to do but I will be here for anyone who needs moral support!
