I have 2 more things for ebay and 2 for charity shop.. I decided I can't be faffed trying to lose weight so I'm selling/flinging all the too small stuff!!
I stashed all my size 10's in the loft in the hope that one day I would lose all the weight I had gained. When I put them up there I don't think I really believed I would ever fit back in them.
I have now lost the weight I had gained over the years plus some, but most of the clothes in the loft are too big or too hideous :rotfl: (fashion has moved on somewhat).
IMHO, I think you are doing the right thing, when you do lose the weight you can treat yourself to something new and 'trendy'.

Ooops............have just take in one tray of tomato plants, a climbing roase and some other shrub with pink flowers - all a gift so very money saving and not realy 'clutter' as I've a home for all of them.
Getting rid of as many jumpers and trousers I haven't worn all winter by the weekend..........oh and some coats............can only wear one at a time but I'll give myself a choice of two, maybe three.
Whatever I don't want is going either to charity shop or ex foster girls sister.........including electronic typewriter and old books and anything else I come across.
So by the weekend, hopefully I'll have made some improvement.
Would have done it this afternoon if friend hadn't wanted to get rid of his plants.Mary

Pigpen and missyg, thank you for the motivation. I've just been up in my loft and dug out those clothes I was telling you about. Talk about hideous  , perhaps if I wait another 20 years they might be back in fashion :rotfl:
Anyway, they have been put into bin liners and OH will be dropping them off at the charity shop tomorrow.
Has anyone done the Oxfam/M&S voucher exchange? Apparently if you take a donation to Oxfam with at least one M&S item they will give you a £5 voucher off £35 spend at M&S. Wondered if there were any other terms and conditions.

FFM - as far as I'm aware the only 'catch' with the M&S offer is that you have to spend £35 as you already know
Might be worth checking the offer is still on and the expiry date though?
Scores on the doors for today is: Nothing in, Nothing out (at least this is somewhere I can 'maintain' eh, FFM)

Well the good news first: As it didn't rain as promised here, we decided to clear some of the garden, so got rid of (via freecycle):
4 carriers of plastic plant pots
4 bird of paradise plants
A load of tomato plants that we don't have room to plant
A stack of greenhouse stuff
Some seed trays
The potato tubers we didn't have room to plant
A water feature (minus the pump - I only bought it for the pump)
A rose-arch that I have never put up
An internal PC dvd player
I was inundated with replies for the bird of paradise plants.
I have also placed a lawnmower and marquee in the small ads in the local paper for this week.
The bad news is that OH has managed to lose his wedding ring in the garden somewhere so I am on the verge of bidding on a metal detector on ebay.:eek:Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
