Pity about OH's wedding ring angela - but didn't you do well on your clear out !
Not surprised you had a lot of people after the bird of paradise plants.......they're a beautiful flower and definitely the right time of year to get rid of the other stuff.
Shame you're the wrong end of the country for us..........we're in desparate need of a rose arch...........especially now we've been given a climbing rose.......lol We had a wooden one that OH's dad helped him put up about 21 years ago but last year it just rotted away at the bottom so that was that.
We'll get one eventually but think the climbing rose is going to be planted against the wall now.Mary

Well, won the metal detector, so OH will be out on the hunt this week
Most of the freecycle stuff got picked up - couple of things left.
We didn't get round to the ebaying as planned, must do it tomorrow. With all the nonsense with OH losing the ring - we quite forgot about it!
Have a good day everyone tomorrow. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Good Morning Everyone. Was up bright and early this morning (how come its so easy to get up on non-work days and so difficult on others
). Have been ploughing my way through the clutter in my IN tray (mail/bills etc) since 8am and have just about finished but now have the stuff to file (will head off to do that in a mo).
My plan for today as I'm on hol from work but OH isn't, is to;
a) do the weekly shop (much easier and cheaper without OH who is worse than the kids for putting additional stuff in the trolley and blowing the budget )
b)return books to library (a form of de-cluttering perhaps?)
c)order some cushionfloor for the kitchen (ok, I know this is bringing something new into the house but it will prompt us to finish the partially-decorated kitchen and then that room will have made its transformation to a new less-cluttered style).
d) Decide who to offer the stuff we put on freecycle to. Had a good few responses but hardly a polite one amongst them and they are all from members who only seem to submit 'want' ads . Thing is they are for electrical items which the charity shops don't take.
If there's time later, i'll tackle some of the remaining stuff in the small bedroom which needs sorting to go to the charity shop.
Have a good day all.

Whiteboard - Out

and I'm not going to say what came into the houseMy excuse is that DD has just gone up into the next size of clothing and was missing some key items (like summer tops!) and I'm loosing weight and need to smarten up/accessorise (for the first time, I'm shopping for PROPER accessories, not just groovy earrings  ) as I can't go to work as a teacher in jeans and t-shirts which I've been wearing for about 3 years and are not exactly smart looking
I will be cutting back on the spending though!:eek:

Morning all ! Well I've spent all morning delving into my wardrobe.........six bin bags to go and I haven't finished yet !! Whats more the wardrobe still looks full !!! Rearrange the rail a bit and the baskets on the floor of the wardrobe are empty except for a bag of shoes to be sorted later (had to put them in there-kept tripping over them ! Tomorrow I'll try and start on the three wicker baskets of 'summer stuff' on top of the wardrobe .............I really shouldn't be let out of the house...........all of this stuff is from the charity shop...............no wonder they're always so pleased to see me.
Also found a chair cover -never been used and totally the wrong colour (why did I buy it ?Expect if was cheap................lol)
I'll never have a wardrobe as neat as yours missyg..........but at least I'm trying............:j
Now I've got to go on a bit of a hunt for some stuff for my home town history site. I sent copies of some stuff off for their site and they arrived ok but now can't find what they've put them under on the computer..........lol so have asked if I'll send them again ! In my mad clear out I don't know where I've put them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh eck.............why meMary
