its been a nothing in nothing out day. except for food which we ate for dinner so I dont suppose it counts.
and not at all related but a good idea, someone told me that if you get a set of bedding, ie quilt cover, pillowcases and sheet all together, put the lot into one of the pillow cases, then when you change the bed a matching and/or complete set of bedding is all ready to hand.
We do this - used to drive me potty until someone suggested this. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I am hopeless.
I came into my office 2 hours ago to have a good clear out, inspired by this thread. So far, I've filled half a black sack and I've spent the rest of the time reading stuff on MSE!Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0 -

Out
- recycling stuff (and bin has been emptied)
- Split corkboard/whiteboard thing. You couldn't write on the whiteboard anymore and the corkboard was too small to be of any use
In - NOTHING :j Well unless you count the pair of ankleboots I've just won on ebay.... but they've not arrived yet:rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Thought I'd join in, if you don't mind, as I really do need to declutter!
Have already listed a few books on Amazon but not had much luck: only sold two so far. Has anyone else had any success selling books via Amazon? Or is there somewhere else that I should try?
Also have a small bag of stuff to sell on Ebay but need to buy memory reader for digital camera before I can actually upload anything. Why, oh why, is life never simple?
The main nightmare will be sorting out all the paperwork that seems to have accumlated behind my back. Is it me or does it breed when my back's turned? I have drawers and drawers and drawers full of the stuff. Anyone have any idea how long I should keep old electricity bills, phone bill etc? I know bank statements need to be kept for seven years but I'm not too sure about the rest. I have stuff going back to a flat I lived in nearly 10 years ago - 10 years and at least three moves since then!
Another massive job will be tackling the junk in the loft. Even though I live in rented accommodation I have access to the loft and seem to have put all sorts of stuff up there 'by accident'. In fact I'm not even sure what's up there. Aaagh!!! Might save that until Saturday and then go up with the radio and a flask (if I can ever find the flask that is........)0
