Tiddles is off nursery until Tuesday after today due to polling & bank holiday... ggrrr... so I'll get nothing done.. plus I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon and another on Friday morning so now I need childcare for that time! *scream*.. wonder if my sis will take her to work with her (she is a nursery nurse!)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I need to get description writing for the ebay stuff for tomorrow. Hopefully it won't take too many hours  This is the bit I really wish I could speed up but I get a bit paranoid about it - think it's all the ebay horror stories I read on MSE

I don't think the stuff I have this time will fetch much. Perhaps £20 if I am lucky! But it all helps!0 -
Well all my too big clothing is now listed on Turbolister, the 2 pairs of boots I won but don't fit me properly are also listed. Now I just need to tackle the 3 boxes worth of DD's clothing and Sega stuff! I think one bundle can just be a relist, but I'll have to check as I can't remember!

Wow, I've just read this thread from start to finish (well, i started reading last night, i finished reading just now) and you lot are AMAZING and really inspiring. When I go home at the end of term, I'm going to have a mega clear out of all my room - I'm sure I have way too much stuff.
Thanks for posting such interesting stories

I do one of 2 things..
1.. I browse through finished listings for the same item (with high finish price
) and nick their description...
2. I put basic info and if they want to know anything else they'll contact me... ie.. what it is.. what size and condition.. item specifics cover most of it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning fellow de-clutterers
I'm feeling pleased with myself this morning as I 've resisted the urge to go shopping for new T Shirts for work and knuckled down to some washing and cleaning instead. I really don't need more clothes if I keep on top of the washing
and we definitely don't need more clutter . Have finished reading a couple of books and watched a video last night that I intend to put straight into a bag for the charity shop. I'm thinking that if I keep a bag near the front door I can add things to it as I come across them and then get them out of the house asap. We have two charity shops within walking distance so I can get some free exercise too. Plus, if I take the dogs with me, I won't be tempted to spend time browsing in them and bringing back more than I donate!
Have a great day everyone.

Just to toss an idea into the pot, I use my old Quality Street one for a first aid tin of sorts. It's got all the odd paracetamols packets I've found in the sort out in it as well as plasters, other medicines, bandages and creams. It's great because now I don't have to go and buy umpteen more packets of pain killers cos I can't find the ones we have. Obviously it needs to be out of reach if you have kids.Do you think empty tins would go on freecycle?? Roses/quality street tins etc?? I know they'll go in the recycling but do you think someone would actually have a use for them?0 -

We all do it:rotfl:
I got my finger out in the end and filled 3 huge black sacks (wheelie bin size) with shredded paperwork, old catalogues and other stuff, which I'll whisk off to the recycling centre at the weekend. I also filled 2 cardboard boxes with stuff for the charity shop.
So can someone tell me why the cupboards and drawers are still full? Where did all that stuff come from?!
