Mary my ebay radar is beeping on those 27 year old issues of NME ;) Especially if anyone interesting is on the cover (Debbie Harry, The Jam?)

You seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment which is GREAT! :T

Lilmisskitkat - jellybean? :rotfl: Hehehe, when is jellybean arriving? Brill work today, it's great to hear it's all paying off :D Love those success stories!

I didn't really look at the covers missyg - I think he only wanted to look through them and then pass them on to his friend who's at music college.

Just rung him to see who's on the covers.........
    Tropical Madness
    Dead Kennedy
    Depeche Mode
Annabella ????????? (he couldn't read the rest - not very good at literacy)
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

I have a jelly bean too.. mine is 5.5 though and I STILL call her 'JB' .. she is Jemimah Jellybean!! To the point we couldn't think of a different middle name to give her and almost put jellybean on her birth certificate!

My new fire was delivered today... :D... and I have withdrawn £60 from my paypal.

    Thanks :)

He's due 10th July but they'll book a c-section for around 38 weeks (I have Fibromyalgia), though DD was born 8 days before the c-section date they gave me so he could come earlier. I had an early scan at 9 weeks because i was unsure on dates and it was just like a little jellybean in there :) Think theres only me calls him that now though, everyone else says Thomas or Baby T

Lol pigpen, can you imagine that on her passport? :rotfl: Jemimah is such a pretty name btw :)

Ooo I've been merged to this thread now. I feel privileged :T

missyg - I have dropped a few pounds in the process of decluttering and am hoping that process speeds up the closer I get the house to a completely decluttered state.

I've actually been using this thread as motivation for my work so far as well. All of pigpen's posts about the mountains of stuff she's moved! I did wonder how she could fill so many bags so quickly, in a nice way I hasten to add, but having regularly managed 2 bin bags of rubbish and 1 for charity in a 2 bed house I feel rather :o It's just me and Mr Mogkat and 3 cats but it has been building for some time now.

Today I managed to get 1 black bin bag of rubbish from the spare room and moved the chest of drawers downstairs for a polish before best mate Mogkat collects it tomorrow.
  • It wasn't a lightbulb moment, more of a slow dawning for me. We want to move and have already seen our ideal house, but can't put our house on the market as the decorating needs finishing off, this is almost impossble with all my clutter. My OH pointed out that I am hoarding stuff that I say I'm going to list on Ebay when I get time, but rather than making pennies on Ebay, if I get rid of the clutter and we finish and sell our house we could be mortgage free. It's taken me a while to realise what a twit I've been, holding on to all this stuff. As a SAHM, ebaying is something I do that doesn't involve the kids and makes a small contribution to our finances, so it's a bit of an outlet that's why I wouldn't let it go at first, but it's quite liberating when you start making a dent in a pile.

    My latest plan of attack.......

We have just had a new floor put in our living room, ready for selling, so no furniture is in there at the moment, as it still needs another coat of oil. With all this clear space, very unusual in this house, I am going to collect some bundles of clothes up, photograph them today and put them on ebay tomorrow, for a 3 day auction. If they sell, that's great........if they don't, they will be all packed up ready to go to a charity shop on Monday.

This will, hopefully, wean me off Ebaying gently, I'm still finding it difficult just to pass things on to charity shops, etc.

Wish me luck, as I'm great at coming up with a plan of action, but very rarely see it through.

    ......

My plan is to list them, if they don't sell they get relisted once at a slightly reduced price, then they got to either BHF or Cancer Research shops (always support them as both my parents died of cancer & mum had heart disease too). otherwise I can have lots of piles of bits that sit around waiting to be re-Ebayed or donated!

Mary - NME with Depeche Mode on the cover would almost certainly raise some cash, not sure about the others. Annabella Lwin is perhaps the person on the 4th cover, she used to be in a band called Bow Wow Wow, bit of a wild child in her day.

Good luck with Thomas Jellybean, Kate ;)

Tibbie's Mum, I understand your reasoning with the house sale but surely you can still do SOME ebaying on an ongoing basis? I know what you mean though, I do try to squeeze every last £ out of anything that leaves the house :p Keep us posted.

I don't really have anything I can do today  I was hoping to go for a long bike ride but I'm only going to do that if it stops raining!

I might reorganise the stationery. Again.

It is because my house is full to bursting with junk!!!!

I was a hoarder now I am worse.. I am reformed hoarder.. very much like a reformed smoker...

I have 2 carriers of ebay stuff to post today and I am dropping a bag off at charity shop on the way if I can manage to carry that as well.. if not I'll take it later when I go collecting children.

The scary bit is.. my mother has asked me to help her sort out her finances.. she seems to think I've done fantastically well with mine and can help her... *gulp*
