missyg - you have done well, and no, you can't be evicted from this thread when you've done it all............we need your help and encouragement...........lol
pigpen - an empty stacking box ?? You going to fill it up again ?
My wicker baskets were emptied out and re-filled and then this afternoon I took the bull by the horns and ploughed through gran's bible box.........had everything out.........even hoovered it inside (it's quite an ancient box with a split in the top sothe dust just sort of drifts in..........lol) Put most of it back except avery old tatty book -must have been some women's encyclopedie type thing with fashions, medical remedies and such like but I havent look at it for I don't know how long.........there's another one with some lovely pictures of rabbits in........sort of nursery pictures.....also very tatty and I paid 50pfor it just cos I liked the pictures.........how sad is that. So, they can both go to a good home (hopefully). I'd got an old stationary box (bit bigger than a shoe box)all sectioned out in different sizes - was going to get rid of it but OH frowned and said an emphatic 'no' and to use it for its purpose............so I emptied out the desk drawer with all the notelets and envelopes and stuff I'd got and now the stationary box is full up and OH reckons it will be easier to find a piece of paper when he wants one (its me who does all the letter writing.......lol). It has to stand on top of grans bible box right at the back of the bit underneath my desk as there's a bar across the desk so how he thinks that would be easier I don't know. Still, at least now all my stationary is in oneplace and I've almost got an empty desk drawer.....................lol
Now I'm definitely giving up for the day............floor is even more cluttered than it was before and am doing no more till this lots gone.
Had an idea for the plant trough first hubby made........it's all open and stuff just gets stuffed in it so I've asked OH to cut me a piece of wood to fit on the top -not fixed or anything, then it can serve as a shelf and the trough part be my little hideaway for bits and pieces -I promise......it won't be a hot spot. Then I'll give it a bit of shabby chic treatment...........lol
There............not too bad for today........well for me anyway.Mary

Don't like to think of our bedroom at the minute:eek:
I trot past all the c*** ......get into bed and shut my eyes to it. Needs doing badly..........I did start off and did the drawers and bedside cupboards, plus empltied a lot of surplus stuff from the wardrobe but there's still too much in there. Plus there's a wardrobe in spare room that is full and I just know there's stuff in there that could be got rid of..........I was surprised last time I looked at the stuff I'd got !!
I'm concentrating on this little room here........else I'll end up with little bits done here and there and nothing will look any different.
Not that it does at the moment with carrier bags of 'stuff' everywhere and I'm just longing to see my little bed settee again............lol (at the moment covered with one fleece, one coat, two handbags, OH';s tobacco in carrier bag, large football book I got him at christmas (too big for the bookcase) and tucked behind it is a picture (very large) that I got froma boot fair to hang on the kitchen wall.Could still use it for the wall in the 'builders site' room once builders have actually been and done the job................oh, then there's selection of yet more shopping bags on the floor, a little box tucked under grandads china cabinet, dads tray he made at school -think I'll paint that and use it, cataloges, picture that came from grans waiting for me to find a space for it...............oh lor.............it goes on and on and on..............Mary

Woah backup a minute Pigpen - the sofa's gone? When did that happen?!
Mary you've done great today :T
Tomorrow I should have a large pile of newly printed pictures to sort into date and bung into the flip albums, I'll enjoy that job
I have a grand total of one item on ebay this week. No bidders, no watchers - think it's going to be a freecycle job. Shame cos it's virtually as new and I would have liked to get a couple of quid for it, but it's heavy and the postage price probably puts people off (understandably).0 -
Thanks again ffm and missyg. Thinking I might split them and put some on ebay and some on amazon and then compare!!!!! I know ebay listings don't need to be put on at 99p but that price certainly grabs people's attention!!! Will try and list some tonight and keep you all updated!!!Make £5 a day challenge - April

missyg -Can't wait to start on my photos but first things first...........must clear the c*** before I can justify leisurely sitting at the kitchen table browsing through them all as I sort them out.
Oooops !! Done the underneath of my other desk...............but just looked at all the papers on the top !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think I need a lie down...............................Mary
