Pigpen, kids wardrobes, good plan! My son's could probably do with the once-over too :D I don't notice how quickly he grows out of stuff sometimes :o

Mine don't grow fast but if I only sort 1 cupboard a week that takes 2 months to work my way through everyone!! I go through mine and hubbys as I do the laundry.

I really should get some more stuff on ebay.. I have to make £200 for the new fire this week.. and after that I need another £200 for the plasterer.. can I list body parts?

It was the garden photos further down your blog that I was getting attracted to - trying not to be envious! Looked pretty good to me (the owner of a teensy grotty little backyard!).

Am having great problems today sorting and declutter my kitchen cupboards. Think I've come to the conclusion that I'd like to freecycle the contents of my home and start again. It would be so much easier than trying to decide what to get rid of
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I've hit that point to! I just don't want to do anymore sorting, but since I've just started decorating my daughters bedroom I've got no choice when I come to put stuff back in there! Its not helping that I keep finding things me and my ex bought together which brings back happy memories and kicks me off crying.:o Maybe thats why I want it all gone and to start again?

I didn't feel as if we'd got much done today until hubby and I sat down to tea and started to tot it up.

We've done the weekly shop and packed it all away - normally there's a bag still around somewhere the next day (or 2) after - so that's a pre-de-clutter :D

Hubby and the two elder boys cleared the car out - I reckon there was at least one black bag came out of there if you add up the rubbish, toys and 'spare' jackets that always seem to get left in there by them (it is a people carrier - it was spread out a lot, lol) :o .

I've got three loads through the machine, with another in there as we speak, and one more planned :j - which is great as it's really backed up this week (not so great for hubby - the ironing is his domain :p )

He's done the 'odd' washing up - things that often live on the side by the sink for a couple of weeks before we get around to them like vases etc.

Whilst he was doing that, I managed to do two more of the kitchen cupboards - so only 15 to go now. I swear if I had the chance to replace this kitchen, I'd rip half of it out and not replace it - there are too many places to hide junk. Our old kitchen had three cupboards, three drawers and the undersink cupboard, and we managed - where everything has come from to fill this lot I don't know

By the way - the reason for the slow cupboard clearing - I have to pick my moments right now between the back that locks and means I can't get to the lower cupboards, and the dizzy spells that mean I can't stand on the stool for the higher ones (sounds like I'm falling apart there doesn't it, lol :rotfl: ).

Anyway - altogether happy with the way the day has gone - especially considering most of it wasn't planned. Having tomorrow off - Sunday is our 'family' day - no housework allowed - the kids get to pick the menu for dinner, and a film for the afternoon, and this week we also have some planting to do and games to play from their easter bundles (they were too busy eating eggs last week to think about the rest of it).

    :)

2 boxes of "carboot stock" gone, and an old monitor AND some other computer bits! Now there's just the ebay pile to tackle - 4 boxes!
