We have the fireplace out.. in one piece.. so far...

There is soot from here to Kingdom come.. this is going to take forever to clean up!!

The curtain pole that was freecycled I appear to have misplaced one fo the ends for.. I know with 100% certainty they were both there yesterday so unless one slipped into a loft box last night or someone has magpie'd it I have no idea where it is.. let's see how nice this 'taker' is... *cry*

The boys have tidied their room and vacuumed it and filled a binbag with rubbish!.

It is ages since I posted on this thread. Finally got back to de-cluttering, ds1 has been treated to a bedroom makeover this easter so we have de-cluttered as well as painted. We took a bag of clothes to Oxfam and 2 bags of toys to the local hospice charity shop (toys do particularily well at this shop) He cashed in his 1p and 2ps and got £5.61 which he was very pleased with.

Going to start on ds2 and ds3's room next, not decorating just de-cluttering. I do enjoy de-cluttering:D

Well Done those who have managed to get their de-cluttering done.

    Well done Pollys

I've finished the three areas I set myself today. See my blog for pictures
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I've put the foreign coins on ebay as a 'job lot' - worth a try :rotfl: If not I'll have a hunt around for charities that accept them as you mentioned Ellidee.

How are you getting on now Pigpen?

    Hi Pollys, good job there!

Vivw, brilliant! Thanks for sharing the pics. I hope you've stood back and admired your work today :D

Whose hand prints are those on hubby's back Pigpen? :rotfl:

I might try to sort out that rest of that selling shelf today. I am not sure whether to just give away the last of the books and maps and save myself the effort of ebaying them... does anyone else sometimes wonder if these 99p type things are even worth doing?

Once that's cleared, I'm going to give the office a good sort out, it's not that bad but I'm sure it can be better. It is the most "cluttered" room in my house.

    the elves!! lol

Another item has just been flung via ebay and a pair of boots I had assumed were lost in the post have turned up back here today so I've contacted the buyer to see if she still wants them.. hopefully I can get them flung as well.. I certainly need the funds for the new fire!!

I have to make £200 this WEEK so I can buy the fire in time to be installed with the surround.. not that I work well under pressure but I have half my house contents earmarked for ebay!

The bins were finally emptied today.. I have 2 binbags to go in already!!

Off to sort DS2 & 3's wardrobes for things that don't fit I think.. :D

    How's everyone getting on today?

I really haven't been in the mood for sorting stuff out, but I have managed to list all the maps and some excess stationery.

Got a smallish pile of travel books, I'll have a look at completed listings in a minute and see whether it's worth ebaying any of them. Otherwise a charity shop job I think.

I've had my Freecycle set to 'no mail' for a few weeks and to be honest I'm enjoying the break from it. For smaller items I'm going to make much more of an effort to give them to charity shops.

Pigpen, kids wardrobes, good plan! My son's could probably do with the once-over too :D I don't notice how quickly he grows out of stuff sometimes :o

hi guys - been busy and some de-cluttering has been going on.
Mainly in the form of recording all the old VHS tapes onto DVD. The huge pile of VHS tapes managed to fit onto 10 DVDs. The problem was most of the tapes only had odd bits on them.

I'll be starting to sort out the children's wardrobes over the school holidays. We save loads from each season but it's inevitable that some won't fit this summer. The good ones will catch the early summer ebayers, and the rest charity. Last year I did quite well on ebay when the summer season started as I was all ready to go.
