You have explained it all perfectly...now if only I trusted my weighing scales!
Oooh, just another thing...do you get postage a bit cheaper when you do it online??

    TIA (again!)

No alas cheaper postage not an option but it does come out of paypal rather than your pocket!

Pigpen, I bet you get inundated with requests for that treadmill! From what I've seen, fitness stuff in big demand on Freecycle!

Thank you for the info about postage Kaleoma! I'll probably keep doing mine the old way, if I still have to go to the post office to get the proof of postage stamped and if there is no actual cost saving. Otherwise I'm just using up more of my printer ink (which is ridiculously expensive) and labels/paper. Always useful to know there's that facility though so thank you :D

Miro, digital scales are the way to go if you don't already have them, when you're listing stuff please don't guess the postage or try to do it with kitchen "dial" scales. I've been caught out like that before! Like Kaleoma I allow a bit of leeway from my home scales when I quote postage, better a bit over than a bit under! I'm pretty sure you can get cheap digital scales in Argos for under a tenner.

Forgot to mention at the weekend I also organised my camping equipment and got rid of my old "backup" tent. Tents and bedding got washed and cleaned. We camp very minimally, no folding furniture, cooking gear etc so there isn't much stuff.

Going to find a new home for my bookcrossing books now.

missyg.. I've had 1!!!!!! I've had one for the table thing and about 20 for the buggy!!

I find it so hard deciding who to give it to.. usually I give it to the first responant.. but then the first one just wanted an 'occasional use' and I would rather it went to someone who was needy... but then I feel bad for not thinking the first one was 'worthy' .. I remember why I don't do freecycle very often!!! lol

Pigpen, well that explains it... people round your way too busy having babies to exercise ;)

Good day today. Did the maps and books again, some more for the car boot sale. I seem to have quite good success by going back to things like CDs/DVDs/Books etc again and again, I get more ruthless each time!

Going to do a PC hard drive "cleanup" this week, I know it's not decluttering as such but I'm sure I'm hanging onto saved files that I no longer need.

thanks for the comments about just stacking up boxes for the car boot, i've got some boxes which i can use, it's just it seems to negate all the effort.
I've listed some craft mags at work for 50p each, may not get any takers, but i may do who knows. I certainly haven't had any more interest from freecycle, i may try the other one near me. I will struggle through, i'll get there in the end i'm sure
