Dear all
Thank u for caring... I appreciate this so much.
I am still struggling to get my head round this... Tired, contacted JSA dept, still shattered from all chores/gardning.
WA are following up and hope it helps me to work stuff out, so it really sinks in my brain.
Sorted load of paperwork CV, etc ready to see 'Personal Advisor' aka dole officer to see if entitled to anything, but even if it only pays NI will go.
Need to start job search, despite not being 100%, as need a wage now. Won't get redundancy until end of month & will save it separate...
Gritting teeth
BM:ANow MF (thanks in part to following advice from MSE - cheers!)

If you have been paying NI full contributions, then you should be entitled to 6 months contributions-based JSA - even if its at the basic rate (and here I would recommend being a tad crafty, telling OH that no, you'll get nothing, but stash the money away in a new bank account - your "escape" fund!)0

Ease up on the chores, you are only doing them to please him, not you. I suspect he was making you pay in tasks for the time you spent with your friends and colleagues. Is he helping you with them or still being an invalid and enjoying himself organising your time and wearing you out?
Do whatever it takes to get time to yourself. Take to your room with a bit of an upset tummy, have the sort of headache that only a walk in the fresh air will clear, or whatever else will work for you. Claim for yourself as much time as you can to sort out your thoughts and make your plans.
Has your key worker made contact today? Listen carefully to what is said and follow the advice given to you.
You really are making progress you know. :T0 -

Hi BM, I hope that you carry on being strong, we're all rooting for you!
I think it's really great that you're going to sign on regardless of getting JSA... I cannot say how important it is, just signing on. If you ever apply for jobs that might ask for a full work history this will be invaluable, and you never know when you will be in this situation.
I know that signing on can be frustrating but it's good to do, and try and take positives from whatever you can.
*hugs*

We are indeed all rooting for you! Please please sort out a bank account that your redundancy can go into though - make an excuse about putting into a savings account until you decide what to do with it, but make sure it's ONLY IN YOUR NAME!!!!0

What does he say about you looking for work?0 -
Will especially be thinking of you on Wednesday as I am in Leicester for the day.
Definitely get the bank account sorted and keep up with WA. Keeping even a small bit of control is essential.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -
I am so very, very worried for you.
Please just go. If you have to go with just the clothes on your back, just go. If you have to go with 50p in your pocket and without your papers, just go.
IF you have to get a night bus, or walk through the night. DO whatever it takes.
You are so so close. You just need to be brave one more time and go. You can do it. Don't look back.
Please, please just go. Go to the police station, phone women's aid.
Just go. You are worth it.
df
P.S Ideally you would be able to sort out a new house, sort out the finances etc but frankly you need to just go. Everything else can, and will be sorted later. Just go.Making my money go further with MSE :j

I think Dancing Fairy wants you to go, just like everyone else. Go on, it will be OK.0
