Yep just tried doing the same on the laptop and it speeds up too ....It does look like it's spyware thats slowing the site down.

I'm starting to get concerned that this "Site Feedback" thread is either being ignored or not being read as it's over a week now with no comments from the management

The 'status' bar at the foot of the browser lets me know what is loading and an icon appears to tell me that a tracking cookie has been blocked.

You can bet that if there was a problem with Martin's twitter feed being talked about, it would be acted on straight away as that is his method of posting these days.

They have probably looked at this thread and seen my name in it and decided that nothing needs to be done. I have complained about the slowness of the site since the last round of changes and they assigned someone to look into it and he came to the conclusion that it was at my end and cut off the dialogue.

I changed my ie security settings to high and i'm whizzing round the forum now. Not perfect but loads better

Only problem is it disables Javascript which is used by things like Insert Link when posting on threads.
