My ultimate, can't-live-without, holy grail productis Suki Exfoliate Foaming cleanser It is like nothing else on earth. In fact, it needs a whole new category to itself because it is so much more than an exfoliator or a cleanser. If you can get a sample, definitely try it. If you can afford the small 30ml pot at £10 then go for it. It lasts for ages and leaves your skin unbelievably soft and smooth. If anyone has used Elemis Papaya Enzyme mask, the Suki cleanser leaves skin even smoother - which is hard to believe.
I don't use it to remove make-up (I always use a cream cleanser for that prior to a face wash) but I sometimes use it as a mini-mask. I let it go white and creamy on my skin with a timy drop of water and then do something else for 3 or 4 mins so it can dissolve all the dead skin cells and dirt. Then I wash it off using the sugar to exfoliate. It doesn't irritate my skin which is incredible really given how sensitive I am to things.
I'm drooling, but still have nearly a full tub of my Lush cleanser, plus have a full-sized Burts bees Orange Essence facial cleanser, to use once finished that my sister recommended.
That looks perfect, so would like to give a go. I wish I could stick to one product, but there's just so many different products about.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
Missli, let me know what you think of the Burts Bees one - I got sent it to review and I didn't like it. I felt it left an awful lot of residue on my skin and I prefer something that leaves me squeaky clean so that my serums and moisturisers can sink in properly.
I found that the only way I could use the Burts Bees one was using a muslin cloth but I know loads of people absolutely rave about it. I'm interested to see what you think.
I tend to have 3 or 4 cleansers and the same amount of creams and serums on the go at any one time. I mix and match depending on how my skin feels that day. It changes so much from one day to the next that I can't stick to just one cleanser and one cream. Since I started adapting my routine to suit my skin, I've found it works better for me than sticking to just one or two products. I tend to layer about 4 products at night too!
Currently using:
Cleansers/face washes
Organic Surge cleansing milk (just to remove make up)
Suki exfoliating cleanser (for a deep clean and polish)
Suki cleansing bar (for when I feel a bit oily)
Laidbare DIY cleanser (for normal days or when I need to do a double cleanse to remove make up)
Green People foaming face wash (for morning washes when I want something light)
Moisturisers: Green People Vita Min Fix 24 hour cream (for night time super moisture)
Ren Global Hydra Calm cream (for daytime wear, good under make up but very moisturising and soothing)
Trilogy Sensitive Calming fluid (really mattifying, great under make up but I use it on top of the REN)
Balance Me eye cream
Serums: Trilogy CoQ10 booster serum
Kimia Rejuvenating Facial serum
Kimia Lip serum
Argan oil
AD Skin serum from Amarya box
Emergency/special products: REN Mayday balm
Egyptian Magic
Weleda Skin food cream
Lavera cream from Amarya box (using it on my feet at night!)
Hand creams: Balance Me
Green People
Weleda skin food
PLUS about a dozen other opened products that I use when I remember I have them and some unopened ones in a drawer :eek:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I might dig it out of my stash box then, as I love my current cleanser, but occasionally use a sample of Lush Dark Angels I was given.
I agree, my skin varies so much. Up to about 2 months ago, my face was really sensitive, and dry, but now has gone oily, so is why I'm happy to be trialling products that help.
I will give it a go. Unlike you, I don't like my face to feel too cleansed iyswim, as causes irritation for me, but as the current product I'm using is so gentle, I do sometimes like something a little stronger, hence the other lush product (sample) I'm using.
Will use tonight, and let you know how I get on after a while.
I'm envious! How did you get a free trial.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
I used to be a reviewer for Naturisimo's blog, so I'd get something to test each month.
They now use customer reviews on the site instead, so I don't get freebies any moreIt's part of the reason I love the Amarya box so much
If you like skin to be left with a moisture film, you'll probably love the Burts Bees wash. It smells gorgeousLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
That's a shame to hear, as can imagine how nice it was to trial products.
Amarya is my favourite of the boxes, as has been consistently good, and natural. Its the one I will always keep.
I'm hoping I'll be happy with the Burts Bees cleanser now, as my sister has quite oily skin, and uses regularly, and she always looks lovely (to me).
Mine is combination, but seasonal, so in winter dry, sensitive face skin, in summer oily skin. For body is dry, and sensitive, especially at the moment.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
I trialled the Burts Bees cleanser last night, and this morning, and first impressions are good, but will need to test with plainer products, as the combination of 'miracle creams' has left my skin looking generally nice, but have had a couple of little irritation spots (tiny) appear.
I rinsed it off more than I would other cleansers, and my skin felt nice. I shouldn't have used a combination of Argan oil, and Naturalift cream afterwards, as was too many different products for my skin, as started to feel irritated slightly after applying the Naturalift, which has never given me a problem before.
I will try using with just argan oil, or my revitals cream tonight. It is a really nice cleanser, and is think is best suited for night-time for me, as is a great make-up remover.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
Well I'm a new subscriber to GB and Amarya and was really pleased with both my boxes this month. I loved all the Amarya products but was a bit disappointed with the colour of the lipgloss as I'm soooo pale (think blue rather than white!!) and it was rather dark. However, if I apply sparingly, it's actually OK and I really like the texture and shimmer.
As for GB, I got the serum, lipbalm, Monu Collagen Moisturiser, Eyeliner & Burts Bees Body Lotion. I was sooo pleased with it I ordered a 2nd box but unfortunately it wasn't so good - the Monu product was a small body lotion sample which was worth about £3 in comparision to the full size facial moisturiser (£17.50) and I got the tiny straightening balm instead of the Burt's Bees. However, I still like all the products, just can't believe how much the boxes differ in value. Though, seeing as I got free p&p and £7 cashback on the 2nd box I won't complain!
Em xXxMummy to two gorgeous LO's and always in search of a bargain!!!

So glad to see I'm not the only person to do this. I've made the mistake of thinking, this box is good I'll order another one too, only to get a not so good box as the 1st one. :undecided
However, like you, I always think of whether its worth more than I paid and it invariably is so I'm not complaining.
Wonder what delights GB, SSB and Amitee will bring this month. Paring down to just 1 box after this month and haven't decide which that'll be. :think:Targets

I know it's not exactly beauty box related so feel free to move if there's somewhere more suitable for it. (is there a beauty forum on MSE?)
I currently use (and LOVE) Elemis Marine Cream but at £75 for 50ml I cannot afford to buy this seperately - I only get the occasional 30ml pot when it's included in a QVC TSV.
Can anyone suggest a similar day cream at a more realistic affordable price?
Thanks in advance x
Edited to add - I got my first LuxBox yesterday and I am pleased to get the balance me eye cream (heard lots about this brand) and the pigment eye shadows will be great for festival season!0
