In response to the Carmine - Glossybox merger Shesaid beauty have released discount codes for signing up-
DISCOUNTS!
10% off She Said Beauty 3 Month Subscriptions by using code SSB03
20% off She Said Beauty Box 6 Month Subscriptions by using code SSB06
25% on She Said Beauty Box 12 Month subscriptions by using code SSB12
I'm assuming these are ontop of the discounts you already get for signing up shown on the website.
I have been told by a couple of people who got their first box that they were not overly happy with the first box last month, but you can check on the website to see what was in it to give you an idea.0 -
Oh I am really fed up about the carmine/gb merger! i ordered the march carmine for half price and was reaally looking forward to getting it after the good reviews. I had loved the feelunique ones too before they finished. Seems like glossybox has the monopoly on this market :-(0
-
I agree dippydooda I was gutted I'm not getting my half price box. I think there's alot of angry people! I could have had the Feb box when I signed up but thought I would wait till March so it would be a surprise. They will definitely lose custom overall, even just from the people who would have bought both, like I probably would have.
The feelunique page does imply they are going to do something else though?0 -
I wanted to lose one box (subbed to three) but I wouldn't have stopped Carmine, I probably would have dropped Glossybox:(
I'm slightly annoyed at these discount codes floating around and I can't use any as an existing subscriber. Has anyone found a way to make them work? Technically I could cancel She Said and rejoin with a different email as I still haven't had my first box from them yet.0 -
I'm pretty sure they would work gentleorange if you did a new account with new email etc, I do that sort of thing alot. I always clear cookies etc too though that may be totally unneccessary! It tends to be just the email they file you under so would not realise you were not a 'new' member. Plus you're quite within your rights anyway I reckon!0

I can't quite work Glossybox out - how many products do you actually get?
I really don't like the fact that people get different items. To my mind, Glossybox know how many subscribers they have for that month, so they should be able to negotiate with the PR companies providing the products to get enough for everyone.
Reading the FB page, some people are lucky and get good items whilst others are left with carp.
I see those press-on nails made it into a Glossybox. I got sent some by Boots beauty panel and they are awful. Theie PR company seems to be dishing them out like sweeties in the vain hope that someone somewhere might like them enough to buy more!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

Or just sign up using a different nameIt is only used for address purposes so either get it sent in a family member's name or use your middle name. We do that for magazine subscriptions when they have good free gifts etc. Hubby ended up with two copies of FHM every month just so he could get the two free pairs of trainers offered for new subs. Then he got another subscription when they offered an Xbox game.

Glossybox is 5 items purplebutterfly.
I think it's been worth the money on the ones I've had, I know it's a bit sad but I sometimes work out what the stuff should have cost me, the Harrods one was £41 of stuff. I would give them a go to see if you like, did you get the discount code?
it's GLOSSYWELCOME1 - for free P&P on first box (before April 1st)
I hate those stick on nails too, so useless!0 -
lol im so glad there is somwhere i can vent on this! GUTTED! carmine was the best of the lot, with 6 gd things...im surprised too bcoz i watch a lot of utube blogs and carmine is much better spoken of0
-
I had an email with the code. It might be worth seeing if the merger improves the boxes. The March Harrods Glossy boxes had positive reviews. The contents varied slightly, but seemed good. Perhaps tailored to individual profiles?
I will be giving Glossybox a go, after seeing the recent reviews, despite initial reservations, esp with p&p free.Oh well...
