I'm with you keeping it under wraps from DH, he is a little in the dark about the number of boxes I am getting!!
Luckily I'm also a dedicated MSE comper so everything that comes through the door gets tagged as a win! :rotfl: Like the NARS blusher that arrived today...........definitely a win and not from BuyaPowa at all!
Sooooooo excited about April's Amarya box - really can't wait. I'm hoping it will be something I haven't tried before, there are so many natural brands now compared to when I first started using them six years ago.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Yes, I know this isn't technically about a beauty box BUT since we all seem to like make up and cosmetics, I thought I'd point something out.
Basically, everyone has been raving about those Beauty Blender sponges recently and I was tempted to try one myself but they cost a fortune! £14.50 to be precise  Now, I'll admit I have spent money in the past on foundation brushes and I really like my stippling brush but this is a just a sponge!
However, a couple of the make up gurus on YouTube recently discovered that the beauty blender sponges are in fact "private label" products which basically means that someone makes them and then other people buy them, brand them and sell them on at a large profit. This is common across all manufacturing BUT it means that most of the Chinese copies on eBay are exactly the same as the ones that are branded. They offer a couple of different shapes - teardrop or one with a finger ridge
I bought a sponge for £2.50 including shipping and it is really, really good. It gives a great airbrush finish BUT I find it does use more liquid foundation than a brush because, even wet, it absorbs some.
I last used sponges for foundation about 10 years ago because I didn't get a great result but I am loving this one so far.
You can also buy them for around £4 online - same sponges but branded (I think you can probably find the Cosmopolitan branded ones in Superdrug too)
Amazon
Cocktail Cosmetics
Fragrance Direct
Sorry for hijacking the thread but you could save £10 by buying a non-branded sponge and that is the same price as one month's subscription to a box of your choice :rotfl:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
There are blogs dedicated to reviews on beauty boxes too for people who aren't sure.

You may have to traul through to good ones as it gets updated!0 -
Thanks for the tip on the sponges purplebutterfly, they look a strange shape but I might give one a go! I bought a foundation brush recently a try which is rubbish, am going to stick with sponges.
Hoping the Amarya box will be dispatched early this week, it's usually the 7th I think but Easter will have put it back. I'm a big fan of natural stuff too I'd much rather be using organic when I can, normally it's too expensive which is why the box is so good.0 -
I'm quite curious to try some of the beauty boxes and was wondering if there are any offers at the moment for first time 'buyers' ;-)
I'm going to get a lux box because it's 25% off for the first one but would quite like to try more£9500/£10000 baby fund saved so far0 -
Feel Unique are bringing their box back? How weird, they only stopped it a few months ago!
I hope it's as good as it was before, really liked how it had very little makeup and they only used decent brands. I like Amarya for that reason too.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Just had an ad pop up for me on ebay - 25% off your first She Said beauty
box.
RRP £9 + £2.95 p&p = £ £11.95 so with 25% off your first box would be
£9.70 (correct me if I'm wrong there)
Rose80's post HERE has discount codes for longer subsLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Hia the amitee box is now by invitation only - if any of the people on here that were clever enough to sign up in march and get the first box have a spare invitation please could you let me know as i really want one :-) thanks sally

I noticed purplebutterfly got a reply on the She Said Beauty facebook page that the 25% code (for your 1st box) is now working again, so that is a discount for those who haven't tried it yet.
