argan oil for eating is the most delicious thing in the world. You add it during or after cooking soups, stews, tagines etc rather than frying/roasting with it and you can use it drizzled over veggies or salads. Fabulous on new potatoes instead of butter.

The BEST use is to make amlou which is argan oil, ground almonds and honey (with optional orange flower water/spices). Spread it on bread or eat it with a spoon if you really want to overdose in yumminess.

I suggest looking up info on argan oil for culinary purposes because it is pretty much the best oil around - good for your heart, skin, brain, reducing inflammation in arthritis, helping eczema and psoriasis etc.

"argan oil contains a high level of anti-oxidants, essential fatty acids composed of oleic and linoleic acids, and an extraordinary combination of rare plant sterols, all vital components for healthy skin, renal function, nerve healing, and lower cholesterol. Also, the high level of tocopherals (Vitamin E), which is three times that of organic olive oil, further enhances the benefits of argan"

Can you tell I am mad about Morocco and Moroccan cuisine? :o :rotfl: I'll be in Marrakech in 38 days and I can't wait!

I love the sound of amlou. It sounds yummy. :D

beargirl - Have private messaged you about the referral as I would be more than happy to! I can really recommend Amarya the stuff is lovely and very high quality.

The Argan oil looks great, surprised I hadn't even heard of it before! Will come in very handy with my expanding pregnant belly so it came at a good time. I'm intrigued to find out about finding the cooking version, although I imagine it doesn't come cheap!

Still got Glossybox, Shesaid and luxbox to come this month - yey!!

A little disappointed as had an email estimating dispatch of my Glossybox as the 25th of this month (instead of tomorrow!). I think they must have been deluged by former Carmine box subscribers.

Has anyone heard of the Lux Box before? Is it a reputable company? Don't want to just hand my credit card number out if it isn't...

Rienchen, I'm almost certain it is completely reputable company. I along with a few others on here have signed up with them for the 1st box.

What do people think of the facewash, and conditioner samples in the Amarya box. I was pleasantly surprised with conditioner, although could have done with double the amount.

My hairs come out looking really nice, so would definitely purchase with the discount. I'm not too keen on the face-wash. I think I may have put sensitive skin down in an questions I was asked at the beginning (I can't remember now if they asked any? Might be getting confused with Carmine), but mine is more combination, so didn't do anything, just felt a bit too creamy. How did anyone get on with other different samples, as would perhaps try another product in that range?

I love Argan oil. Its much better than the Bio-oil I was using. My scar is looking a lot better after a few days use (It is a big one), plus skin, and hair look good. A little oily to use as a daily moisturiser (for me, except in winter), but great for a night-time treatment, after deep cleansing. So will be another regular buy.

  • Glad you love the Argan oil :D

I liked the Jurlique face wash (I've got sensitive combination skin) but I wouldn't use it for removing make up etc. It would be a morning wash for me to start the day with a burst of moisture.

I liked the smell of it because it reminded me of Suki body oil and I was using loads of that in the run-up to my wedding so the scent always brings back that giddy, excited feeling :o

My face wash of choice is actually Laidbare DIY cleanser and toner in one It is dirt cheap and gives a thoroughly deep clean without being drying.

I do use a toner afterwards because I like to have a bit of moisture on my skin before using a serum but it really does leave skin squeaky clean and plump.

Personally, I'd rather spend less on my cleansers and face washes so that I can afford better serums and creams.

It is one product I can see myself buying regularly, plus was impressed by my conditioner sample, so will be getting with the discount. :D

I love Lush's Angels on Bare Skin at this time of year, as is balancing. It depends on the season as to my skins condition.
